One second he was running towards the tree line, then a flash of light and a millisecond of relief of having escaped the darts and then there were darkness…
Mike looked around as his eyes adjusted to the darker environment, “Oh crap, this is just so wrong,” he mumbled.
Instead of being on board the safe 401, he looked out over the hangar bay of a Wrath cruiser.
He felt a hard slap in his back making him trip and take an involuntary step forward; when regained his footing, Mike turned and felt that terrible icing feeling run through his body. Looming at least 10 inches over him, stood a masked wraith soldier, motioning for him to move along.
He wanted to move, but his legs said otherwise and in what appeared to be in slow-motion, the wraith raised his weapon, aimed, fired and then everything went black.

<< Unknown place in the universe >>

Waking up was pure agony – pins and needles were only the start of it… then there was the cold… Geez he was freezing his butt off…
“Damnit Elle, told you not to let the fire die out,” Mike mumbled. “I’m hypothermic now…”
He rolled over to lye on his back for a few more seconds, realizing the mattress and sleeping bag was missing and that he was lying on a very hard surface. Rubbing his face, trying so hard to ignore his aching body, he then eased himself up to a sitting position, leaning his back towards the wall as support.
Slowly, the cogwheels in his foggy brain started to click and he looked around with a growing lump in his stomach.
He was situated in a cell, wraith by design, and the reason for him being so cold was simple - t-shirt and mud-covered, moist pants, nothing else in a chilled environment. Tac vest, jacket, gloves, socks and boots, all gone.
Mike’s mind raced, but it all ended with just one sentence, “Oh man, I’m just so screwed up when Elle finds out about this…”

<Worshipper Base Camp, male camp

It happened. Levi was up at front while DiNozzo was guarding the rear as per Lorne's order. When the darts attacked, everything went to hell when they fired at them. In all the confusion, one person was forgotten. When the smoke cleared as the security guys rushed toward the tree line and stood back to back resting near Lorne, Alf took a tally. They were missing the Doc. Alf closed his eyes and shook his head with a mutter, "sh*t."

They took cover under the trees. It was real. He had to re count it and their group was small. Only four. Now it was three. Keeping his hand on the trigger, Alf raised his rifle and continued firing to defend his little group. After him, it hit Levi too as they realized that the Wraith just scooped their doctor. They had failed to protect him and they'll probably be getting the brunt of their anger from someone. They were soldiers. It was their job.

Soon they were beamed up along with their boss. They'll have to figure out what to do with Mike. They were supposed to protect him and in the confusion, they dropped their guard on him to focus on the Wraith darts.

<Worshipper Base Camp, male camp>

Just one tenth of a minute, that was all it took. Lorne was running faster than he ever thought possible, waiting for that inevitable beam up that never came, at least not when he expected it and certainly not from whom or where he expected. He had barely reached the treeline when something made him turn momentarily, then dive and roll into the soft wet earth. His eyes smarted when another beam flashed in his eyes directly down the hill from where he lay, emanating he thought from a Dart. Without being certain he saw or rather thought he saw someone get captured but he had no idea who it was; DiNozzo, Kermis or god forbid Mike. Instantly he began to sweat when he saw the ships leave the area, the next minute he himself was taken to be back in the rear of the 401. "What the hell just happened?" He yelled in frustration, trying to clear his head.

No sooner had he heard 'Incoming!' than he was shoved hard out of the way.  By the time he'd sat up and oriented his P90 it was too late to fire and the darts were gone.  Another second, a flash of too-bright light and the mud & darkness were replaced by the well-lit hanger bay.  It had all gone as he predicted, wrong, and the worst thing was he hadn't fired a single shot.  His towering ego was fine with being saved by Teyla, but it needled him that he'd been of no help whatsoever.  He asked himself for at least the thousandth time why he'd insisted on being included on this mission.  No tech to find, fix or save everyone from, nothing to translate from Wraith or Ancient... what was he there for?  Why had he pushed for this rather than opening Zalenka's door?

At least they'd all escaped, and with the Athosians, too.
