The Replicators of the New Order
« on: April 23, 2015, 11:22:08 PM »

Recently the SGC's Zulu station were attacked and overrun by an entity identified as being much alike to the replicators of what Earth knew of a few years ago. But in reality these are not quite the same thing, they are entirely organic in nature although they do have the ability to form and shape using any material at hand including metals of all types. That is where the similarity ends.

Their origins are as old as the Ancients, back in that time they were a parasitical race much like the Goa'uld, taking hosts by absorbing the entire body tissue, they were something like a mass entity, thousands of tiny organic matter coming together to form one grotesque entity that looked much like a black oozing puddle. In that form they were easily dealt with over time and the Ancients along with the Asgard and Nox thought they had been eliminated.

But it wasn't to be so as remnants of the race managed to survive in pools around the galaxy, laying dormant for millions of years until one fateful day, a mass that had been hidden in an ancient crypt had been discovered by a lone Goa'uld. Waiting like a viper until the articles they had infected were loaded aboard his ship, they soon took over his crew and fooled him into thinking his ship was in dire straights with a plague. He headed for the nearest rescue point, which was unfortunately Zulu station and now, they are spreading just like the plague they are.

Technology:

They not only create their own, but also adapt the technology of others. They will inhabit a ship and within hours it not only looks different, but is almost alive with organisms of their own creation taking over every article of that ship. They use a power source something much the same as a ZPM and although not as powerful, still it is more powerful than most energy sources encountered.

Weapons are standard fair, beam weapons and plasma cannon. Particle beam smaller weapons on their fighters etc.

Defensive natures: The hulls of their ships absorb energy to a degree. But if enough concentrated energy is directed at them, they do in time succumb. But as the Ancients found in the past, it took four or five Aurora ships acting as one to destroy a single ship of this race.

Their purpose and aims: To destroy everything and remake the galaxy to their own design.

The name they were given in ancient times was Akanarth: meaning simple plague.

The only effective way to counter this race is to A/ find an element that will destroy their base make up and B/ all races to come together and fight as one cohesive unit. They cannot be fought by lone actions of one faction.
