The ultimate paranoia from that man and superbly played by the actor. We know that David Ogden Stiers was seen in Stargate Atlantis as the leader of the Asurans, have any of you noticed other notable actors on MASH who appeared in Stargate?

David Ogden Stiers was also on a TNG episode, playing the alien guy whose society required he commit suicide at the age of 60 :S:S

I just looked up M.A.S.H and noticed they went for 11 seasons. Why did they stop? They could have kept going. Ive heard of it and watched a few episodes, but I dont watch old tv shows usually. They give me a headache. I tried McGyver, but it didn't really pique my interest and yet I liked Richard Dean Anderson in SG1. It's weird. Same thing with Star Trek. I only watched TNG, VOY, and DS9 and ENT, but I havent watched the original Star Trek series. I tried, but couldn't get into it. I might try watching M.A.S.H. Its on Netflix and next on my list after NCIS. On the last season, 11th.

Greenhorn, They stopped recording these episodes because most of the cast was moving on to other things, also at the time and even today thats a very very long time for a show to run.

The show finished in 1983, given that the story line took place from 1951 to 1953, it was remarkable that they were able to pull it off. Of note, you can see the aging factor in Alan Alda more than any of the other actors over that time. There has been rumors of another production company doing a newer version of it, there have been two attempts that failed I might add and one miserable movie version set in Vietnam.

Yes the remakes have never gotten off of the ground. The movie MASH was actually pretty funny and of course thats what they made the show after. Yes Alan Alda was starting to show a lot of age for a 3 year war. And of course the spin off show "after MASH" was freaking awful.

another funny scene I remember is when they'd gotten a bunch of corn somehow and they were all anticipating nice juicy buttery corn on the cob but the idiot mes hall chef creamed it all

Fr. Mulcahy (nearly apoplectic): YOU CREAMED IT!!!!!  YOU CREAMED IT!!!!  YOU....YOU NINNY!!!!  :P :D :fp  (could tell the good father had to work REALLY hard to not use some of the less savory things he could've called him :P)

and the chef (who'd likely worked hard to get all that corn off the cob and cream it was like "Fine next time you can eat it off the cob for all I care!" or something to that effect...I was like "that's what they WANTED in the first place ya bloomin' idiot!:  :fp

always good to see the courageous or angry side of that priest every now and then :D :D
