<Vanir Base-Power Core>

 Morgan and Agathon had placed their charges, then the swap was made for Jordan and Valentine to do the same. "Keep sharp." She told them leaving them to guard the door so to speak. It was a weird sensation for them at least as she knew (from the echoing gunfire) there was trouble and combat elsewhere and she expected here at the so called Power Core to have at least been guarded. It wasn't, in fact her team hadn't seen a single clone since they beamed in. It was too quiet and she smelled a rat.

 "Over there Valentine, by that big heat exchanger looking thing." That was what it appeared to be, with all the pipes going and coming from the main core. "I'll place my chargers around the center section." Dropping her pack Jordan removed her C4 packs, placing them around the base of the core. Then something occurred to her as her hand rested on the large round machine.

 It should be humming, vibrating and this close to it there should be some heat coming off those vertical power tube things. Yes it was warm, but not hot. "Finish up Corporal and get back to the Lieutenant and Chief." She then walked along the pipes where the other charges were set, bending to her knee, Jordan removed her glove to place a hand on both the in and out pipes, they were both room temperature. That was wrong. Going back to the core she banged lightly with the handle of her knife on the casing, it sounded hollow and definitely not metal. So wrong she thought as she turned the knife around and with all her force plunged it into the casing. It went through like paper mache, or the nearest equivalent of some hastily made fibreglass thing. It was fake and they were set up.

 She ran back to her team, tapping her radio as she went. "Sheppard, O'Neil. We need to get out now, its a trap!" As she spoke the veritable poo hit the fan, lines of Clones were heading their way from the ramp below them. Trap alright, and they were the rats with no way to link up with the other teams. "I saw another exit tunnel beyond the core, we'll draw that lot after us and blow our charges on the other side." She told her team, then fired off several rounds in the direction of the oncoming clones. Of course they didn't like it and so began the pursuit. "Move it! Agathon lead out, I'll hold here until the last minute..go, go now!"

<Dreadnought, Bridge>

 “Two Colonels are better up here than one Dave. Have your Marine leader do what he needs to do to ensure a clean swift exit for our teams. Make sure all personal locators are tracking constantly, the moment we here a murmur of anything we or they are not prepared for we’ll beam them out instantly.” They could always go back through another door if necessary, cat and mouse was the game.

 The whole point of the mission was to seriously dent the Vanir’s plans for galactic domination; so far that wasn’t going to plan, essentially the fleet as big as it was had been caught short and yet there was far more here than went up against the oncoming Ori back in 08. “Now that is right out of Vader’s copybook if I may say, I’m surprised a damned Death Star doesn’t show up.” All of them so often made light of the Sci-fi movie world, the problem was this wasn’t a movie and no one had handed them a script. “And it looks like its going to be our biggest problem.” Lily took a second to watch the screens, with the viewport blast shields up they had to rely on the large tactical display or the feed from the many external cameras placed around the ship’s hull. It was when she saw the Rabaul that a deep lump formed in her throat. “Jesus! He won’t last.”

 But there was no time for her to message Ted, they had their own battles to fight. “Have we got either of our Growlers out there?” They were the best option for damage reports, she needed to know how much effect the Dread was going to have on that monster.

 “Helm, twenty degrees port, Weapons, ready the main battery. I want a direct hit on that station as soon as you’re powered up.” The main weapon of the Dreadnought class was rarely used such was the draw it had on the ship’s power. Generally it was a one shot all or nothing scenario. “Jason, signal the El’Dari flag, tell Sunniva we need back up immediately, I know she is keeping some ships in reserve, we need them now.” What else, pray, just pray.

<Surface sectors- Main Science Labs>

 By the time the fan was spinning spitting out putrid dung in every direction by way of weapons fire, the time for silence was over. Plus shedding the suppressors gave them that much more impact and a little more range. Teyla quickly unscrewed hers, nodding to her 'other' female counterpart to do the same, that followed one by one with the small Wraith warriors. Now they were down to eight in number, two of Rhiase's 'boys' went down when a barrage of Clone fire came their way as the force gained the same level. They were on the retreat now, fire run, fire run to the next safety point until at last it was AR-1, Rhiase and now five of 'Blades'.

 Rhiase ordered two of her soldiers to go with Ronon and McKay, while she with John and Teyla held the line, they found whatever cover they could as they real shooting began.

 It was a cacophony of sounds, the constant automatic weapons fire and the cry of the dead and dying. Even while shooting Rhiase called her larger team from below, there was no answer. She swore in the Wraith tongue something guttural not intended for human ears. "Do we have a fallback option Sheppard?" She yelled.

 Teyla was doing what she could, taking down several clones but they were coming faster and closer. A thought occurred to her. "I know this isn't the right time to ask but did anyone think to bring grenades? I didn't." She said in a frustrated tone as one more Wraith fell.

<main science labs>

Mckay kept fairly close to Ronon, he knew how to fight, seemed to live to fight.

"Just around this corner and to the left, the room should be there"

He yelled as he shot another clone

"There seems to be more of them, damn, lets hope they dont blow the command console before we can get to it, that would be very bad"

<Vanir Base-Power Core>
Following in the wake of the LT.,Chief Morgan quickly approached the afore-mentioned Exit tunnel.Stopping just short of the Exit,Cooper quickly tugged off his back-pack. Looking towards the LT.Cooper called out"LT., I brought an 'old friend' with me. Reaching into the pak,Cooper pulled out his mortar launcher and the two belts of ammo."Just like in the old 'Terminator II movie,with 'Arnold'He loaded a round into the chamber and settled the two belts on his re-positioned back-pak."now, if we need 'back-up'we can give those clones a dose of extra pain!

<Wraith Hive Flagship>

They weren't going to last long like this, Todd was sensing Sin's thoughts with his own being much the same. The only difference being he knew that if they didn't put a big hole in the Vanir's advance now, there would be no alliance at all, for there would be nothing left but the waste the Vanir left behind. He needed to buy some time, at least for his own ship, as there was no way to regenerate in the middle of such a battle like this. "I'm moving as to the rear temporarily, Bonewhite has returned to the fray so he can take our place." From there he maneuvered the flag ship to a position just out of range, while directing other Wraith ships to continue the advance on the Vanir ships.

What worried him there and then was that large thing, whatever it was that had just made its appearance, he had never seen anything like it. While pondering that situation, he was not overly joyed to see one Traveler ship and an El'Dari vessel succumb to the pummeling they were getting from the enemy. "We need something big, something to really make them pause." It was a thought, yet he said it aloud.

<Wriath Hive Flagship>

Sin nervously wondered if his commander's remark was rhetorical or not.  He might as well reply.  The worst Guide could do would be to throw him out into the fray and at least things would end quickly.

"There could be a few methods. I overheard the humans on Atlantis talking on occasion. however, everything depending upon them giving us the ability to do more damage is...unlikely at best."

<Tallellinian Surface, TF Mako>

The situation was getting worse by the second. Michelle could hear the gunfire escalating, the time was running out. And as they planted the second set of charges, she realized what Voodoo was on about. Not a single one of the vats had anything but lights and fluids, not any trace of a clone in sight.

"...what kind of cloning facility has no clones?" Michelle asked aloud.

"Boss?" Ice asked.

"Our intro stuff showed us footage of a Wraith Hive ship when the grunts were in their chambers...no silhouettes...oh. Oh! Oh hell!" Michelle said, "Pack up, let's go."

"Gambler, what's up?" Voodoo asked, but they were already on the move."[/color]

"Deuce, we're coming to you. How're we looking?" Michelle said into her radio.

"Actual, Five. Still holding, getting dicey. Done so soon?" Deuce replied.

"Callin' an Ackbar here. And not Aloha." Michelle pointed out. THere was a pause before Deuce continued.

"...oh. Damn, boss, alright." Deuce replied.

"Hanley! What is it!" Ice demanded.

"It's a trap." Michelle replied, as they reached the doorway.

"Alpha Romeo One, Mako Actual. This site is bogus, we're falling back under fire." Michelle barked into her radio before snapping up her rifle and double tapping a clone trooper in the head with her 416.

The team regrouped and began making their way to the hole they climbed in through, moving aggressively and refusing to let the clones bog them down. They reached the crater, but this time they would have to climb up using the debris. Easier said than done, like all things while under fire.

Michelle found a spot about half way and set up with her rifle, a McMillan CS5. It was a compact rifle, bolt action and intended for covert ops with its integrated suppressor. It gave her a great vantage point, the clones were exposed here, and under her rifle fire they were less able to pin down her team.

She then heard a shout up above her as she was removing the magazine and slapping in a new one.

"What's going on up there? You guys in a good cover position?"

"Wolf's hit, graze on the left leg." Midas replied.

"Patch him up quick, Bones. Deuce, Voodoo, get some fire going here." Michelle ordered.

"Roge, Boss. Get moving, it's gonna start getting violent." Deuce replied. Michelle ducked behind cover as Voodoo's machine gun opened up. As she was racing up, 40mm grenade rounds landed behind her around the clones. She got to their position, where she saw Midas trying to fix up Wolf's left leg injury, bandage and all.

Wolf was swearing in Spanish, he was clearly angry at getting shot, but the injury wasn't critical. But it would slow him down. Midas slammed in a syringe to help ease the pain after the bleeding was stopped.

"We're good to go. Let's go." Midas said.

"Mako is exfiltrating now. We have one WIA, minor." Michelle reported over the radio as she swapped back to her 416.

<Tallelinian Base - AR-1>

Sheppard ran as quick as he could up the stairs until they were in the labs as planned. There were a couple of clones remaining, bu the rest were now coming from behind.

"Rhiase, cover our backs! Rodney, get to work, hurry!" Sheppard said, gesturing to the computer as he swapped magazines. Ronon turned around and began firing on the clones coming up from behind.

Sheppard's radio was alight with bad news. He was furious, but there had to be more to this trap, and if they could somehow...

"What the hell is that?" Sheppard said, more to himself but also for Teyla and Rodney to chime in on.

A fortress, like Atlantis in the mountains almost but more militaristic and with an Asgard twist, shimmered into view about five miles north of them. He could see it from the tower window they were able to look out.

Beams began lancing upwards from the tallest pillars in the city, up towards space.

"Oh no. Please tell me that's not what I think it is." Sheppard said.

GM Post:

The Vanir's true plan came into being - it was a trap. Everything in the bunker AR-2 found was a fake. The data there was exactly the same, right down to the same gibberish code that Rodney thought was a hidden message, and that ruse would be easily discovered by McKay.

The new base was a fortress, shielded with Ancient and Asgard technology, and the beams firing up into the sky were the same as the weapons found among the Vanir fleet. These were much more powerful, however, suggesting a better power supply. Not quite ZPM, luckily. As this happened, a planet-wide scattering field activated, preventing beaming or ring use. Clones were rushing out of this new base, moving to secure the landing zones the allied forces set up.

And in orbit, things got a lot worse. As the stations were blown apart and the smaller ship groups were starting to struggle, a pair of strong fleets on either side, supported by the battlecruisers of the Vanir fleet, were now pushing into the battle line.

<<Rabaul bridge>>

Junot's guns went to rapid fire pouring missiles and energy beams into the Vanir ship. It was taking serious damage and trailing atmosphere. Juliette felt the ship shudder under her as it took hits in return. All the lights on her console went from green to red. "Captain, all weapons systems are down. Shields are at twenty six percent. Another two hits will finish us." Her hand hovered over the yellow button.

<Tallellinian Surface>

McKay was watching the info coming onto his computer when he hooked it up

"Sheppard, this is complete jibberish, just like back at the lab, and i hate to say this  but Zelenka may have been right........it's a trap"

He looked up as Shepperd shouted and McKay  walked into the passageway  and he saw the huge ship hung in the sky

"Oh my god, it looks like an Asgard version of Atlantis...................a little....we have to get out of here..now  this entire thing is a trap"

 He realized he was probably stating the obvious now and there  was more than a little panic in his voice as he looked at the rest of the team

<<Rabaul bridge>>

Mesa growled as the Rabaul shook.  This wasn't going well at all.  She spun in her seat, seeing the look in Tucker's eyes.  No what was he thinking? Then it fell.  He offered to stay.  She closed her eyes tightly, trying not to think about it.  "Sir?" She asked, her voice hollow.  This could be it?

She turned to her computer systems.  "Colonel Radovic, this is Major McCaffrey.   The Rabaul has taken some major hits and shields are nearly gone.  I am going to start beaming the crew over." After the transmission she set to work on locating everyone on board and beaming them over to safety.  " That is everyone but us here," she said, setting the lock onto Junot, Tucker, and herself.  She couldn't seem to get a lock on Ted though.

<Liberty>
Rob's breath caught in his chest as he stared at the ships approaching.  "You've got to be kidding," he groaned, gripping the controls.  This battle was definitely going south quickly.  Just how were they going to get out of This?

"Hold tight," he told Alecia as he dropped the ship into a nosedive.  He winged a silent prayer up as he leveled the ship out, his heart racing.  " Not sure we're going making it through this one, " he admitted, his voice catching as he tried to avoid an incoming enemy.

<Dreadnought Bridge>

 "Damnit!" Lily swore as she watched helplessly the fleet being decimated. Even the advancements of the El'Dari were seemingly no match for what the Vanir was throwing at them now. A quick calculation told her of thirty or so ships that had left Atlantis, twenty one  were still intact and capable of fighting, with the others either gone, badly damaged and withdrawn or trying to stave off the inevitable by seeking protection from those still in one piece. Yet even of those, few escaped with even the mighty Dreadnought taking some significant hurt. The call from the Rabual didn't make her churning stomach feel any better either. "Copy that Major McCaffry, beam them to the aft bridge section." She said breathlessly as her own ship rocked from hits it was taking.

 They needed some luck right now and something to turn this crap fight around, if they didn't do something sooner rather than later it'd be goodbye charlie. "Right! I need some options, if any of you have even the craziest idea let me know now or our relatives will be lining up at the lawyers office to hear the reading of our Wills." Seeing those extra ships come to the battle gave her gas; what they needed was a kill, something big that might have a demoralizing effect on the enemy and make them pause.

 @Cipherhornet18

<Rabaul Bridge>

 Before their very eyes it was as if the Rabaul was being torn apart. Systems were down and right now she was barely producing enough power for anything of substance. Ted wasn't dismayed, he didn't even look saddened by the whole affair. No he had a look of anger like a predator that had been slighted and he wasn't at all happy about that. He was about to say something witty, the moment giving him a second of humor, but he decided against that merely giving his crew a look of hope before they all disappeared leaving him alone.

<Dreadnought Bridge>

 Some few seconds later Tucker and the rest of the Bridge crew appeared at the rear of the Dread's bridge. His first concern was naturally for everyone's welfare. "We all good?" he asked then suddenly realised the Captain wasn't with them. He rushed to Mesa's side asking. "O'Connel, Major where is he?" Panic started to rise in his throat.
