Delores Sophia Vasquez ~ Shadow

Age: 30 (05.02.2339).

Height: 5’6” - 168 cm.

Weight: 127 lbs - 58 kg.

Appearance:

Detailed Appearance: Fit, strong, athletic and a little too muscular for a woman. Del wears her medium length dark hair up, or in a short service tail. She has almost coal black eyes.

Blood Type: O+

Distinguishing Traits: Her left baby finger is missing, a result from a fight that turned nasty when her opponent had no other option left than his teeth. Freckles, lots of them. Making her look years younger than she is. Tattoo of a falcon on her left shoulder.

Rank: Corporal, Imperial Legion. (Demoted from Chief Sergeant).

Position: Fireteam Leader, 2nd Battalion, 189th Legion, Alhabor.

Full Position Chain: Alhabor, 189th Legion, 4th Cohort, 1st Regiment, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Company, 5th Platoon, 2nd Squad, 1st Fire Team.

Specialisations: Explosives, tracking, sapper. Qualified as weapons mechanic. Also can double as a PE instructor when assigned to.

Personality: Rude, vulgar, foul mouthed, loud and abrasive. Typical of her upbringing. Yet, despite all that, she is one of the most devoted people in her duties and friendships (if she makes any) you would find.

History:

Del as she is generally known, was born on a colony world Abulos III. The star is not far from Sol, spinward and rimward relative to Earth. It is a desert mining world, supplying the Empire with abundant minerals it has, but making life a hell. Half of the population are convicts who instead of jails spend their time doing hard labour and making themselves useful enough to be fed. The other half are scientists, engineers etc, running the mines, aeroponic farms and industry.

In a big part thanks to that, she had a lot of bad habits to pick while growing up. But, she was extremely bright and saw the "benefits" of such lifestyle are limited at best, while the Legion soldiers garrisoned on the planet often were making local kids envious with their stories of adventure and exploration, each new rotation bringing more of them. Naturally, she eventually enlisted.

Del qualified for the infantry service, and in the Legions she showed perfect fitness, but was stubborn like hell, hence low rank climbing rate. She made it to Chief Sergeant, but was demoted down to Corporal for getting in a real nasty fight with another marine aboard a ship during a deep space patrol mission. She disobeyed the orders of her CO to stop at once and even hit him bad to finish her own brawl. While such behaviour and reaction was quite expected from someone who just had their finger bitten off, Del was still court martialled for violating a whole bunch of regulations at once. She was demoted down to Corporal and was stuck on the frontier ship because it has a very high chance to run into something "interesting" and she could put her bad temper to good use there. Her fighting buddy who started the brawl ended up worse - for doing so, he was stuck for five years in the same mines that Del grew up around.

Aboard that ship she was a headache to the senior Legion officer aboard, who had to deal with her stunts 24/7, yet valued her talents. With the knowledge that humans aren't the only sapient race in the Universe, and seeing what some of the not-so-welcoming planets could evolve to greet the explorers, she proved to be a very good asset during the frontier exploration.

That experience and the excellent performance she demonstrated during the ship's exploration missions over two years, together with the willing to teach her fellow soldiers who ended up in her care all the tricks she knows, helped Delores to earn a recommendation and a pardon, what led to her transfer to a regular legion on a well developed and busy Earth-like world just two months before the Terran - Entheri War had began.

Bickering with an admin is like fighting a dragon. You gave him a good kick, poked his eye with your sword and already are aiming to cut his throat open, when the dragon gets tired and finally breathes out.
