"You have done well, Vezkei. You can return home, to rest".
After that whole ordeal with the ruins and the cartouche, he could define himself satisfied. He had what he wanted, after all.

<<From Kapu>>

Why was this his business eluded him, though.
"Remind me again, my love, why is an assassination attempt on an upstart whom you despise supposed to attract our attention and, worse than that, our time and presence?".

"Because it is our chance to reveal that we are now one, and because I deem it wise to humor her at this moment in return for further... favors, let us say, the technological sharing initiative has after all remarkably helped me and then the both of us in building a war machine worthy of ourselves. Needless to mention, when she will have fulfilled her purpose, we will act accordingly" the queen explained without hiding her delight.

But, while Mamers was indeed impatient to reveal himself to the rest of the surviving System Lords to be finally made into one himself, he saw little but empty rhetoric behind his consort's intention to pay heed to Allienna's call. Odds were she didn't know herself what to expect and that her hopes were muddy and not properly articulated, but he preferred to keep his mouth shut.
The station was in sight and there was no turning back now.

After a few minutes, the Ha'tak finally docked and the two Goa'uld made their way to the hall, escorted by bull-headed Jaffa contingents.
Casually knocking on the door, Mamers plebeianly showed himself to those present.
"Hello?".
He was a coarse spectacle to behold, wearing sheep wool from chest to knees and a wolf pelt on his head, with the only truly good news being that he reeked of neither beast.
The plebeian appearance of the Goa'uld was compensated by his queen, gracefully wearing a different host from the one of her first meeting. Hopefully, she needn't an introduction.

One of the unusual aspects of being a Goa'uld was recognition of one another, sight or the visual wasn't required. Essentially the Symbiote gave the host the ability to sense another in other ways, smell, voice and other small idiosyncrasies painted each individual. "Excuse me Sobek." She spoke quietly with her host's voice.

Leaving her friend to help himself to the table she went to the entry, dipping her head only slightly. "Mefitis, Mamers, I thank you for answering my call so quickly. Please come in we are only waiting on Khnum and his retinue to arrive. You know Lord Sobek don't you?" She half turned, her hand held out in his direction. She was curious as to how far she could trust these two, their combined attitude towards her most recently wasn't what good relations should be based upon.

Khnum Flagship
Pel'tak

Khnum's flagship, the immense Apo'tak had been traveling for over an hour, it would have arrived much earlier if they hadn't waited for their host Achaman and his personal guard to arrive. But Khnum was not worried, he knew well that without his presence Alienna and those present would hardly have made important decisions. In the great pel'tak room, Achaman, who in the meantime had moved with his host Khnum, observed how the ship's sensors indicated the fast approaching of the coordinates of the goa'uld station.

"My lord Khnum, we are close to arriving at the coordinates, we transmit our signal to warn of our presence in a few minutes, in this way we would not have bad reactions towards us!" exclaimed the First Prime Rashaken turning to his lord seated on the throne at the far end of the room. The braziers illuminated the great hall, Achaman seated next to the same Khnum with a minor throne and surrounded on both sides by two mighty jaffas.

"Very well also communicate the presence of Lord Achaman, that he is not missing anything for our stay!" he replied ordering Khnum making his eyes sparkle. Two minutes after the immense flagship, the Apo'tak appeared on the station display as well as from the windows of the station itself. Khnum was waiting to disembark, he didn't know if through the use of shuttles or in other ways. He just had to wait.

<Meeting Station.>

Sobek of course would answer that he was well. One however did not need to be a God to know just how subject to quickly change that truly was. It made him feel well enough to know Allienna was safe after all the new order they brought to the galaxy could not take the strain of yet another blow especially not so soon. When Mefitis and Mamers arrived it was then some of his fears of chaos were put at rest.

Sobek walked up beside Allienna. “I am pleased to see you both here.”

Of course Khnum was still approaching the station. Sobek just hoped the Ram God was preparing some kind of argument or war plan to bring before them. Sobek himself certainly knew there were quite some things to be said, though there was no rush.

"Why, of course the Crocodile's antics with Kali and Bastet are known to me, though I thought him dead after what happened. I would have never thought I would have to be briefed about his survival by my splendid consort of all people, who had been living quite literally under a rock for millenia!" the Goa'uld crassly and loudly remarked. If there were any infringed sensibilities regarding either Mefitis or the Crocodile, the sheep-clothed and wolf-headed god had no idea. Or perhaps he merely didn't care. From his point of view, his discourse was one of appreciation of Sobek's resourceulness, and of the irony of Mefitis of all people meeting Sobek before he ever could. "What a fellow!" he jovially exclaimed, instictinvely clapping his hands exactly once.

If he would have ever met him in person before, he would have afforded himself an amicable pat on the Crocodile God's back, but even Mamers knew better than to take his confidence so far so soon, so he had at least the decency to avoid it this one time.
Some other time, perhaps.

To his side, Mefitis was beginning to show signs of embarassment at her consort's exuberant behavior, so used she was to the gravitas that distinguished most Goa'ulds. Worse than that, he had taken control of the situation, which made her feel powerless and unable to "correct" it.

Ever since Ra's death she had chosen to be somewhat in hiding, to remain by herself, not wanting any enemies of Ra to find her. She had, after all, been Ra's last mate and she wouldn't want to think of what cruelties some would do to her. Not because she was afraid - no, she wouldn't dream of succumbing to that - she simply wanted some time by herself to gather her strength and her forces after the loss. But a couple decades later, she had decided it was time. Once again she would venture out into the galaxy. After a meeting with Grundel, as well as some rather surprising discoveries, Sekhmet made yet another decision, to seek out the other daughter of Morrigan, Allienna, to offer what aid she could.

Sekhmet’s Ha’tak exited hyperspace close by the Station at about the same time as she moved to contact them, letting them know that she was there as she knew that would be a wise move. Not only because it was simply how it was done, but also because she was unsure of how much they actually knew about her name. Besides, she did not feel like being obliterated this day. As the communication device came to life, the Queen spoke.

“Greetings. I am Queen Sekhmet. I was informed of this gathering and wish to offer any aid that you may be in need of.” Her voice sounded confident, yet awaiting through the communication device. Her image was that of a beautiful and young, dark-haired woman with sun-kissed skin and an emotionless expression upon her face. She seemed to not give any hint to any thoughts she might have, simply awaiting their response, to gain permission to dock her ship.

"My Lords." Allienna dipped her head respectfully to all three as she moved away. Things were moving apace and she needed to keep ahead of everything. Khnum was ready to join them and to her surprise Sekhmet. Someone she thought either dead long ago, or the stuff of legends and tales. One thing at a time.

"Lord Khnum welcome." She began over the communicator. "You are cleared to dock in bay five. The usual security contingent will escort you to the meeting room." She expected him to use a Tel'tak as did most everyone. Though if he wanted to show off, the station can accommodate a standard Hat'ak if necessary.

From there she switched to the vocuum device to receive the latest call. Her sun tanned face matched that of the other, that was where any similarity ended. Allie's blonde tresses were in stark contrast to the dark hair of Sekhmet. "Your arrival Sekhmet is timely and I gladly accept whatever aid you may bring. There is much to speak of, and naturally we all here will be anxious to know of your self imposed reclusive state. Sending you the coordinates to navigate through the asteroid field, then once you're near the station you may dock via Tel'tak to bay nine. We look forward to your arrival."

Khnum Apo'tak

The immense flagship of Khnum appeared on the horizon in a whitish glow typical of Hyperdrive goa'uld. Like Apophis before him, Apo'tak aroused fear only by looking at it, so huge, powerful and with a decidedly aggressive design although in line with the typical lines of goa'uld architecture, at least until then. On board the flagship, Khnum was in the pel'tak room together with Achaman himself, with whom he had shared the journey to Alienna station.

"We are once again in this place, I must say that he is starting to appreciate this station, although Alienna's tastes are really so atypical and in some ways at least for some of us revolting ..."

"I  agree... Lord Achaman, the architecture of this station begins to become familiar, in any case I guess they are going to send us the landing coordinates and permission to do it, we cannot however enter with this ship, I would say that it would not enter the interior of the orbital station, it would be better to use a tel'tak as a custom, we will be able to have our respective First Prime and the same Lo'taur! " Khnum replied looking at the ally. Achaman nodded before the landlord waved First prime to the ship's controls on a table placed near the ship's control console.

"My lord ... we sent the answer, they are waiting for us with the usual treatment, the tel'tak shuttle is ready at least that Lord Achaman does not want to use a second one for some reason in particular!" Rashaken added, turning to the two goa'ulds.

"We will go together, Alienna knows that the axis of power between our domains is among the strongest in the galaxy and this must be reiterated also on this occasion, but by the way there is too much ha'tak ... Mefitis like this like Sobek must have already arrived, but that ha'tak ... "Khnum added knowing full well that Rashaken would immediately start the scans. It didn't take long before the results appeared on the viewer.

"The design and the energy brand tell us that it is an old ha'tak MK I, max speed 10 times the speed of light, no cloaking device, weapons and standard shields pre Anubis, it could be a ship requisitioned to some goa 'uld deceased by one of his successors ... "the First Prime concluded by waiting for a reply.

"We'll find out soon, let's go to this summit!" Achaman added in turn as the scene fades and shows us the tel'tak splashing out from the lower part of the Apotak, headed for the orbital station.

The colourful blue and red coloured robes of Sobek swayed as he stepped forward. He kept silent allowing Mamers to speak. The Goa’uld knew of him though Sobek was not filled with pride, to him survival was the lowest accomplishment he had achieved. Mamers though seemed quite pleased with the situation, Sobek felt a tinge of uncomfortableness at this.

It was then Allienna politely stepped away leaving Sobek standing there with Mamers and Mefitis. The Crocodile Lord clenched his teeth for a moment thinking about the current meeting ahead and what he even had to say to Mamers.

“I am pleased you were able to join Mefitis for the  current Summit gathering.” He says with a grin.

“Times have been certainly difficult up until recently, but I am prepared to lead our kind to glory over our foes.” The Crocodile Lord spoke.

He found himself quite happy with recently how not only his own but the forces of his fellow Goa’uld had regrouped and expanded. The galaxy belonged to them, the rest of the galaxy needed to be reminded of that.

Sekhmet's brown eyes observed the other as she spoke, only to give a light nod upon Allienna's words as if to confirm that she would give reason to her actions. Of course Sekhmet had had her reasons for staying hidden, good reasons in her opinion and even if she did not much want to speak of them, she knew she had to to gain their trust. "Thank you." Sekhmet bowed her head in respect. "I will see all of you soon."

Then her image disappeared from the device, she had ended the conversation as she saw no reason to converse any further like that. There was no time to spare. In some way, she was looking forward to meeting some new ones of her kind. In comparison to the old, boring ones she had spent the previous decades with, she was certain this would be a nice change of pace.

It did not take her as much time to navigate through the asteroid field as she had thought it would when she first laid eyes upon it. With the coordinates she found it to be rather easy and it was not long after that that a Tel'tak docked to bay nine as told before the Queen herself stepped out into the Station, having rediscovered a small piece of her old, eager self.

The tel'tak landed as a request to bay number 9 and Khnum together with Achaman landed in the large station, accompanied by their First Prime and the two respective lo'taur. After passing through corridors and large halls, Achaman and the ruler of the planet Khenem entered a large hall that they both already knew. Khnum was the first to address Alienna herself and the Goa'ulds present.

"My brothers, once again we meet again in a few hours, Alienna was only missing you but apparently there are unexpected surprises or am I wrong?" he finally asked, smiling and moving towards the landlady.

"My Lord Khnum, thank you for coming so quickly." She told him by the entry door, dismissing the Jaffa escort of the station. "We have a problem, one of which will take our combined efforts to address." She began walking back to the others.

"My Lords, now that Khnum is here we have but one other to join us. Please find refreshment until she arrives." Tapping her personal coms link, she instructed other guards to escort the Queen to them, she received the reply she expected.

Some two levels up, six Jaffa a mixture drawn from each of the System Lords attending. One of Allienna's Leopard Guards was in command today. "Lord Sekhment, I am Ethiel." A red head, her tresses like many of her clan done in a myriad of braids, seen only because unlike the other guards her helmet was removed. A fair face, freckled and looking much younger than her forty something years might depict, she looked more like a pretty farm girl than a warrior. Don't let appearances fool you. she gave a stiff bow, as much as her tight fitting black polished armor would allow. "Please, allow me to escort you to the meeting hall."

Several minutes later, after using one of the level transporters, the bootsteps of the Jaffa was heard outside the meeting room. Ethiel stepped forward, speaking in a clear commanding voice. "My Lords, may I present Lord and Queen, Sekhment." She made another half bow before backing away.

Allienna looked up, she was surprised, the host looked even younger than herself, pretty in a petulant way. "You are most welcome Sekhment, most welcome indeed."

Khnum's arrival was met tepidly by Mefitis, with the usual formal nods and smiles, though Mamers, true to himself, was the louder and more exuberant one.
"Ah, Lord Khnum, a pleasure to meet you. At last I meet face to face the master of the brave warriors who helped my team secure the treasure" he said without hiding his gratitude. That cartouche opened the way for thousands of new worlds to settle and exploit. On the long term, a key factor in evening the odds against the accursed Tau'ri and their allies. If all that was left of a proud civilization could still afford the luxury of thinking long term against a people whose feeble existence only allowed it to plan short to medium term and consequently be more flexible and unpredictable in its decisions, that is. "How was your trip?".

Sekhmet's presence, on the other hand, was a surprise for Mefitis, though much less so for Mamers who had been distantly familiar with her when he was in service of Cronus. At the very least he could rely on second-hand rumors.
Mefitis, on the other hand, had never even heard of her.
Perceiving his consort's unfamiliarity with this new guest, Mamers leaned towards his queen. "The Lioness" he whispered, paraphrasing her totemic animal. "She was the mate of Ra for some time, but when the Tau'ri murdered him, she went into hiding, clearly until recently. You wouldn't know, she is much younger than the two of us".

In seeing her in the hologram, the queen was visibly impressed. Something about her well-composed demeanour, her gravitas, and the fact that she had been the mate of the one Goa'uld she always considered a model. And the host... an exquisite sight to behold.
"How old is she?" the queen whispered back, leaning towards Mamers.
"Two millenia old". Not a child, but not ancient either. Indeed, she wasn't even alive when Mefitis had left the First World, but considering what she had gone through, there was probably very little she figured she could teach this one, despite her inferior age.
Essentially, Mefitis saw in this one a kindred spirit, hopefully a proper traditionalist.

When Allienna finally introduced the newcomer, a warm smile formed on Mefitis's face as she rose from her throne before the others did. "We bid you welcome, queen Sekhmet".

The Crocodile Lord felt no desire or need for refreshments at this current time. With the others gathering he really only wished to stick to the matter of business that brought them all there. Still he wanted to be polite, but it wasn’t often that he was able to get updates on the other Goa’uld’s domains unless they sought his help. He found it most intriguing when a new member of their kind arrived. The visage of Sekhmet caught his eye, someone that he would not have expected to still be alive after the events in the galaxy.

He by no means knew her personally but was aware of her reputation. He wondered deep down though just who she was now, or at least who she considered herself to be. Khnum’s arrival around the same time with his question quickly answered made Sobek raise an eyebrow, a surprise indeed. The Crocodile God moved toward his more diplomatic brother in that moment giving Lord Khnum a respectful greeting before Achaman in turn.

“Lord Khnum, I trust you found your way here easily.” He said thankful to the Ram God for his offering of various upgrades that had surely made his fleets far more effective.

Sobek stood aside slightly to allow Mefitis and her consort to greet Khnum and vice versa. The pair seemed equally glad to greet him. It was then Mefitis spoke to the new arrival after Allienna’s Jaffa introduced her. It was clear everyone was  taking great interest. Sobek decided to observe the interaction Sekhmet made with others, it was for him a time to see why she was here and indeed if there was something she wanted.

“Lord Achaman, I trust that you too have fared well?” He didn’t really know quite as much about the more spontaneous Goa’uld but he at least knew he could trust him to stand with him.

Despite the surprise to Sobek it changed very little, each one of them had spent a great deal of time recovering from the collapse of the third dynasty. So much had been lost he’d even been convinced allowing Ba’al to remain with them had been a good political move. Regardless he wasn’t responsible for what had happened. Ra’s past mistakes were finally being washed away and from that came rebirth, at least he was certain Khnum understood and wished this as well.

Allienna he at least hoped had the information they sought to put that traitor down for good after so many years of him playing with the very soul and legacy of their Empire. More and more Sobek received reports of minor engagements with there new challengers across the galaxy, as always standing together was necessary for survival but it was now extremely clear to him that this would be it, there would be no more chances after this one.
