State of play for 2018, the new plots

Stargate Atlantis season 7

With the rescue of Mike Jaworski  closing down season six of Atlantis, it’s time to move on to new adventures.

The first phase of Atlantis will see SG4, SG12 and Mike Jaworski going home via the Stargate, the Dreadnought will remain in Pegasus for some time yet. There will be no immediate crew changes thus far to the ship, Carrie Svensson will remain as CMO for the immediate future. One aspect we will pursue is to send Elle home as well, this is firming up to be a favorite move and we already have a replacement Captain for the Dread.

The new seasons central plot will be to follow up on the demands made by the Wraith half breed Rhiase as a bargain for the return of Mike; another reason to remove Elle (she would be bent on revenge).

We will begin the new season that comes almost immediately after Mike's rescue. A part of the deal Rhiase will strike to revealing his whereabouts is to stop the Vanir. Ethically Atlantis can't see any reason why, until Rhiase proves to them that A/ they were behind the 'fake Genii' and they are in fact still culling human worlds to starve out the Wraith. This will involve getting the El'Dari on side as well, for basically the Vanir are their cousins. And without them we're screwed anyway as the Vanir are as equally as powerful as their Asgard brothers were.  This will see more ground combat for our teams and somewhat less emphasis on space battles, although those will still be present.

As with what we will be doing with SG1, I'd like to see us get back to some old school Stargate, that really most of our members have asked for. Personal stories played out, for example the time Ronon and Jen were trapped in Med bay; that kind of thing and of course getting back to exploring through the gate and a little less space warfare. Not including the main plot of course.

SG1 Season 13

Once our teams are back, yadda yadda, one of the first things to take place will see the end of the War with the Forerunners. Finito.

Next thing to happen is that SG9 will be returning with a science team after over a month on their planet. One of the geeks will reveal that though they didn't find much in the ruins perse, apart from a few minor cool things, they did find some dusty old books written in ancient that indicates somewhere out there is a really really fabulous 'thing' that just has to be found. (still working on what it is atm). Naturally like always the Goa'uld find out (they overhear coms back to the SGC) and then the race is on to find this 'thing'. That will involve teams doing both independent and joint explorations. Bowsy still has his old idea which I did promise him years ago to explore, an ancient site with the possibility of some ZPM's to find.

Our ships will be busy sorting out the Space borne Borg guys for a while, so some action there now and then.

SG4 will take a rest for missions for a short while although they will still be on duty. Independent stories from them will prevail for a short time, such as Cate assisting Mike to get his memories back. Some old characters will be making some cameo visits during this recovery period, we can assume that after the wars with the Forerunners, the Alpha site might well be a part of Mike’s healing.

There are a lot of spoilers of course that ‘won’t’ be revealed here, but we can tell you that aside from the above primary missions there will be a special for SG1. On returning through the gate something goes wrong (again) and they find themselves in another timeline with Major General Samantha Carter as CO of the SGC.  That story will be revisiting some of the old plots from the series in different ways so we can think of it as a virtual alternate universe in the tradition of how the producers gave us such gems in the past.

All of the above will come into play once the last remnants of the previous two seasons are finalized.

*Important Notice*

No matter where we are, or what we're doing Season 12 of SG1 will end on Monday the 2nd of July. The current missions will be finalized on that day with some minor plots being carried over to season 13. The current events in Chudel space will be concluded with a savior coming in to pull our backsides out of the fire. At the Alpha site the peace will me made and a truce called.

The end of the current SGA thread will follow as soon as Mike is through the gate.
