Western mountains, Humbaba  tomb

The three jaffas had no idea what to do, if they had taken the so-called "Arrow of Sekhmet, they would certainly trigger yet another trap and given the size of the room they were in, there was no need to try this path. go back, it was not even a possibility to be taken into consideration, especially for what happened with the ash'rak a few minutes earlier.Your death would have brought all three of them to the gallows, at least for Khnum there was no counterpart that would save his life saved. The three jaffas looked at each other before unanimously taking a decision.

"I go, I'm the fastest of the three and I'm the only one able to make big leaps, contrary voial are more stable and you have other characteristics for which you have been chosen, prepare to run vito that surely remove the arrow, will result in some disaster ! " Jandir concluded looking at his perplexed comrades, nodding in turn. They did not have much choice. They had to bring the result home. Slowly Jandir approached the pedestal of the arrow and waited to watch it abundantly. The object was placed on a support and Jandir looked at it with increasing attention before taking an object, a jug filled with water or what was supposed to be a similar and expected liquid. The weight could be similar but not the same, so the jaffà waited before making the exchange. Gingerly, he approached the luminous object and waited. One hand held the cup filled with the black substance, while the other was empty. The tension was palpable in the air. A drop of sweat came down from the front of the jaffa. The movement was lightning fast and very fast. the device seemed not to suffer the slightest change in weight.

A smile was drawn on the face of Jandir and then the other companions, but suddenly the water of the black pool that surrounded the sarcophagus began to boil while a light earthquake shook the room. The dull and lethal rumble pervaded the three jaffas that remained still while suddenly a light appeared from the crevices of the sarcophagus. The light became increasingly strong and blinding, a sign that what was inside the sarcophagus was about to come out. then the stones around the room fell, triggering the trap itself. Jandir was disconcerted, it was clear that the exchange was not successful. Only when the three jaffas were all three together, they turned and entered the tunnel from which they had come but before arriving in the upper hall, Jandir himself regulated the transport asgard to be able to take them to the first room or perhaps in the large underground courtyard. At the last moment, the jaffa took the companions from behind and with a blow of the face activated the asgard transport. It did not take long for the three of them to reappear together in the great hall with the large statue of Khnum and the central basin. The earth's jerks however caused cracks to open on the walls and the only way for the jaffes to escape was through the long staircase carved out. Without wasting time the three jaffas threw themselves out through the steps, going up in a few minutes. Around them everything was cracked and collapsed around them, the ruin of those places. But what neither of the three knew was that Humbaba would wake up, freed from his millennial chains, to challenge them and take their lives. the three reappeared exhausted by a thousand races, tired of having to pay attention even to their breath. But this was also the mission.

"We are outside but what should we expect, the storm will not allow us to leave this place and only two Semerkhet are not enough to leave this place!" Fa'ran asked himself at that point, looking at his comrades, worried about what he had to wait for them. They could not leave that place, and they could not stop the storm.

"At this point we should face what should be Humbaba or the monster inside his sarcophagus, but I am not so sure that a creature is a priori, the same humbaba was something monstrous!" Jandir exclaimed worriedly, looking at his comrades, and the storm was almost rising, as if connected to those places. A dull sound of footsteps, closer and closer then the animal growl and the explosion of mountain access.

"Here we are, the showdown has finally come!" added Jah'makor in turn.

Western  Mountains

The showdown, the final creature, the one who wanted to avoid awakening, but something indicated as not existing at least that before their eyes. There was nothing but the storm, nothing living in spite of the image that appeared slowly before them. A creature with a terrifying appearance. The face seemed to consist of crawling snakes, as well as fish and other marine animals. The look was more like that of an octopus, more than a human being. A roar, then from the back of the being spilled six long and huge tentacles in all respects similar to those of an octopus.

"Oh Gods ... I knew that Gods played with genetics, but crossing marine monsters to human bodies is something really disgusting!" exclaimed horrified Fa'ran seeing the creature before him. None of them knew if it was vulnerable and to what extent.

"Evidently the Gods in question have played with Humbaba otherwise I will not explain his appearance, unfortunately, however, something does not return, according to the readings of the sensor sphere, there is nothing before us, as if there was a hologram!" Jah'makor replied to his companion trying to convince himself and repeating the surveys. Once again the sensors said the state of things. It was an illusion.

"That's an illusion ... and if so, it's really real!" added Jandir in turn, trying to figure out how to make that image vanish. For his part, what was supposed to be Humbaba seemed to become increasingly threatening, approaching dangerously to the three jaffas.

"I have no idea how to make this illusion vanish if it is!" Jah'makor exclaimed, looking at his companions before a tentacle darted towards him to hit him in full.

Safenkel planet, Nesmeti Ha'tak

When by now the hope seemed no longer existed, devoured by the monster they had before, a magnetic blue or better electric sphere struck the creature in full and made it fall back to the ground. But immediately Humbaba jumped up, rushing toward the place of origin of those spheres that had struck him making an absurd leap toward the sky clouded by clouds and magnetic storm. Two more shots hit the creature sending it back to the ground screaming and wounded. Only then did the asgard beam activate, but it was not the asgard ray they had, someone was moving them at that moment. Humbaba's screams re-echoed as the energy spheres flew to his body, centering it full each time. The light of the asgard transport became louder and lighter and in a few moments the three jaffas found themselves aboard a goa'uld-style room, partially lit alone. The dull sound of the typical goa'uld weapons echoes, probably due to the fact that all three had to be near one of the ha'tak's guns. But normally the ha'taks did not cast blue spheres, their armor was golden. The three jaffas looked at each other before the door of the room opened in turn. Three Horus Guards and two Serpent Guards entered the room as well as a man dressed in Egyptian fashion like a warrior. Without losing a single moment, the man turned to those present.

"My lord awaits you in the pel'tak of the ship, I ask you to follow me, abandon any weapon even hidden or it will be considered a hostile gesture and punished with immediate death!" he completed the man leaving Jah'makor speechless, as well as the other two jaffas. Quickly, the three jaffas took away every weapon they had by letting it fall to the ground and spread their hands in surrender.

As quickly as they had entered, the three Horus Guards surrounded Jah'makor and his companions and escorted them out of the room through numerous corridors to the central ring room of the ship. Also in that place, a Horus and a Serpents waited in silence, helmets on their heads, ma'tok rod in his right hand.

"They are expected by our God, recalibrate the transport to the pel'tak level!" he ordered the man who had brought them to that place and then motioned to Jah'makor to place himself inside the circle on the floor. The rings went up and it took a few moments before they found themselves at the pel'tak level. Only then the group was taken into custody by further jaffà, but the brands on their fronts were the most diverse. Horus Guards loyal to Ra, to Heru'ur even to the dead queen Hathor, guards Setesh and Serpent. Jah'major remained silent while he and his companions entered the ha'tak pel'tak. At the center of the room, apart from the various consoles, there was the one who controlled and owned that ship, dressed in a jaffa armor, the latter did not give any attention to the new arrivals. The long coat of leopard skin descended from his left shoulder into the waistband of his jaffa armor. There were no elements to be able to understand who it was, the jaffas present in the hall in several different belonging, no one had a brand that can be traced back. Only after a few moments the man who had accompanied them turned to the lord of the ship.

"My lord as you ordered, the three warriors who killed Akar Duau Sef on the planet below!" the man exclaimed, bowing his head slightly as the commander turned to them, made his eyes shine, identifying him as a goa'uld.

"Redeemed Jaffes at the service of Khnum .... my father, I must appreciate your tenacity in carrying this mission to fulfillment!" exclaimed the goa'uld looking at those present and sketching a slight smile before getting up from his seat and walking towards them.

"It was days since I monitored you from my ha'tak, I must admit that the recovery of the Sekhment arrow was both a gamble, a great trial of loyalty and a request for forgiveness to the Gods, but you killed one in your office and this is quite serious ... "

"... under normal conditions I would have condemned you to death myself, but today the situation is different and requires a very different approach from the methods of the past, you will live and serve me, I am the powerful goa'uld Osiris Nesmeti, true ruler of this insipid planet and I do not tolerate that other goa'uld can soil the soil in such a way, Himbaba or what is believed to be Humbaba, must be swept away! " concluded the goa'uld returning to sit down.

Nesmeti  Ha'tak, Pel'tak

After the goa'uld had finished, the ship began the maneuver to rotate and give the ventral part to the surface of the planet, the part where most of the guns of the armament was concentrated. It did not take long for the bombardment of the surface to begin under the astonished eyes of the three jaffas. then Nesmeti waved his hand and the three warriors were made to kneel. Nesmeti looked at them rather amusedly before he took them back to them. his left hand opened above their head and the Kara'kesh activated. The eyes of Jah'makor became fixed and glassy while the work of the goa'uld was completed. In the mind of the jaffa the voice of the goa'uld echoed clearly.

"Your faithfulness is completely towards my divinity is absolute, you will follow me and you will die in my name if necessary starting from now!" completed in the first of three minds of captured jaffas. Then after washing the mind on Jah'Makor, Nesmeti went to the head of Fa'ran and repeated the same ritual, the same words and within a few minutes even Fa'ran fell to the ground bleeding from the nose, but heavily conditioned. Only then did Jandir have a moment to try to free himself.

With a lightning gesture he threw a fist to the guard next to him and pounced on the goa'uld Nesmeti. grabbed at the neck, the jaffa sat astride the goa'uld almost unaware that there were numerous other jaffas in the hall. Three of them jumped over Jandir, grabbing him hard and pulling him away from the goa'uld, who took a breath and put his hand to his throat. Eyes injected with blood from anger and lack of oxygenation. Only after a few minutes the goa'uld could get up completely on his legs and approach the same Jandir.

"Traitor without hope or what you saw in your companions has made you crazy ... no matter what happens to you because you too kneel now before me!" he completed placing his golden hand on the head of the jaffa and began the work of washing the head.

"Powerful jaffa you are now faithful to me, you have always adored me and I am your God, you will not be faithful to anyone other than me Nesmeti, you will protect me and give your life if necessary to protect mine!" he completed the goa'uld by completing the treatment. From the nose of Jandir came down several drops of blood and only a wave of his hand, allowed the three jaffas to leave the room of the pel'tak, going to a different cell each. Left alone, Nesmeti returned to sit on the throne although he had a very bad throat due to the powerful grip of the jaffa.

"Damn jaffa, almost did not kill me!" he repeated to himself before his attention was attracted by the arrival of a communication on the surface. On the face appeared a jaffa unknown to us, on the forehead the symbol of Montu.

"My lord we have captured the goa'uld who controlled the planet Safenkel abusively, we have them in custody and we are ready to transfer them on board for your personal pleasure!" completed the jaffa awaiting the reply from Nesmeti. The goa'uld smiled before replying in turn.

"Take them on board, I want to see well those who dared to occupy my main planet, I just want to see what motivations they will have to save their lives!" Nesmeti completed by making his eyes sparkle before closing the video channel on the viewer. Meanwhile, the bombing continued unabated.

2 hours later, Nesmeti Throne room

We see a long room, not particularly large, but largely illuminated by two rows of braziers, a rather large window is in the background behind a rise of some steps. A wooden seat covered with gold and decorated with lion's feet is the same throne where the goa'uld Nesmeti sits. Next to his figure are two jaffas, a Horus Guards, and a Serpents Guard. Both with their masks on their heads while in the hall five Horus Guards entered, carrying two goa'uld handcuffs. The two prisoners were brought before Nesmeti and forced to kneel with a blow on their shoulders.

"Naive to occupy Safenkel, my main planet, the seat of my power even when the Gods fell into oblivion ..." Nesmeti completed.

Safenkel, Ba'tak shipyard
1 Now later

One hour after the end of the orbital bombardment, Nesmeti could be satisfied with the result obtained. Three recruits, three jaffas had joined his army, which however poor in comparison to that of his father Khnum, was not inferior to him by danger. Those warriors, each cleverly subjugated, now fought with a ferocity that never before had been seen except among the warriors of the late Goa'uld Kur. But Nesmeti's dream could not be completed until he had taken complete control not only of Safenkel, but of all the vast network of planets associated with those parterni. Sagoria, Bubastis Mino and many others that Khnum had slowly regained during those tumultuous years. Now that he had come down to the planet, he was observing the immense shipyard of the Ba'tak, an experimental ship that he would never have built for real because of the great waste of energy and resources to create it. But the ship was designed not just as a new type of combat ship, but as a colony ship as it can travel through galaxies like the Alterans and the Asgard ships. for i, goa'uld was almost a rampart to reach, a final goal that would consecrate them again as Gods somewhere else. Observing the immense bulk, Nesmeti noticed how the corners were not squared, but rounded almost to avoid further friction during the trip. The same engines were not like the previous ones, a simpler FTL engine but unique in the history goa'uld, able to move the ship without having to launch it in some Hyperdrive tunnel as it was always done usually. The three jaffas were brought before the extended Nesmeti and waited.

"My lord the construction of the ship did not slow down, we captured all those responsible for its construction that did not want to work with you and we took them to the prisons of the shipyard waiting for you to decide their fate!" he completed Jah'makor with no particular emphasis while keeping his head bowed.

"Very well, that the construction will continue, I will question each of them later, now I think it is time to return from his father, he believes me dead as Heka and so many of his children ..."

"Seeing me certainly will be a pleasant shock!" he finished making his eyes sparkle as the curtain behind him moved in the breeze and sand that swept the ba'tak shipyard.

12 years later

That night Jandir's sleep broke off, what his mind had remembered, had suddenly awakened him, now he understood why he had served Nesmeti, the reason why he had that emptiness of memory of the arrival of the goa'uld in his life. Humbaba, his companions Jah'makor and Fa'ran. The latter died in the galaxy Pegasus in an attempt to stop or slow down the wraith during the retreat towards the Milky Way. The planet of taposiris Magna, the first and only goa'uld colony they had managed to create in that galaxy. His loss along with many of his companions in the precipitous flight to the Milky Way, their original galaxy. Certainly now that he remembered what Nesmeti had done, he could not yet serve the goa'uld as he would have liked from the beginning. the doubt had re-emerged again, perhaps never dormant. The jaffa had risen screaming that night from his bed, wet with sweat and prey to those memories that had surfaced. Khnum was not aware of what Nesmeti would have done had he survived. He did not know if Jah'makor also knew or had reacquired his lost or dormant memories. He had to wait. The hours passed slowly until the alarm of one of the jaffas arrived. Hedjhetep the lord of that ship ha'tak wanted to see him personally. Quickly, Jandir donned his full armor without the helmet and headed out to where Jah'makor was silent. The two jaffas crossed corridors and crossed doors to the room where Hedjhetep was waiting for them. A triangular window from which you could see Safenkel, their planet below. Hedjhetep's gaze was particularly serious, intent on observing the planet.

"My lord ... Jah'makor and Jandir as you requested are in your sight!" exclaimed Rashaken,  First  Prime  of  the  goa'uld  Khnum, his head bent, waiting for a reply from Hedjhetep.

"The battle for the conquest of Safenkel did not go as planned First Prime Rashaken, you gave these two jaffas an opportunity to show their value and they are back defeated, you're lucky nevertheless failed with jaffa, I'm in a good mood and my spies they captured the traitor who dared to reclaim this planet without the consent of our Lord Khnum! " he completed the goa'uld by making his eyes sparkle before turning to the two jaffas and Rashaken himself, who now see accents to them on his left, too, on his knees.

"Rashaken you are a lucky jaffa, Lord Khnum does not want a hair wrong you would otherwise have already been executed as these two incompetents, but the orders and the outcome, however favorable to us, led me to postpone this failed attempted invasion! " complete passing over and going to sit on a low seat in the Greek style complete with numerous cushions. Jandir remained silent, but those insults burned and he wanted to make them go back to that miserable goa'uld who posed a great commander, strong of his support of the last real System Lord.

"That's why I asked you to show all three of them, eliminate all the pockets of resistance that still exist on the surface and you bring me the plans for the construction of the Ba'tak, this prototype ship could prove fundamental not only for our return, but for my personal purposes! " he completed Hedjhetep caressing the face of one of the slaves at her feet almost completely naked.

"The Ba'tak was lost 12 years ago, not only it but also its projects and experimental ships that were created on this planet, maybe the prisoners know their fate, but they will not talk easily, let me interrogate them myself ... certainly even if they do not have to talk, however, the proven sifference will definitely fold them! " he completed Rashaken in turn, trying to show his willingness to make up for the bad figure he had done before, but he waved him away.

"Jandir will conduct this interrogation, I want to see how hard he can be with his former jailers, after all Jah'makor and Jandir come from the shipyards of this planet and have worked at the Ba'tak ... he will lead the interrogation! " he finished with a wave and finished that meeting.

"How do you order my lord!" Rashaken replied standing up as if he were present at the scene and he shows us the ha'tak ship in the orbit of the planet.

Hedjhetep ha'tak
Torture  room

But the interrogation did not go exactly as everyone hoped. Despite the heavy torture inflicted by the jaffa, the prisoners did not speak leaving Hedjhetep who had attended the interrogation, even more angry at the failure at least part of that undertaking. The sgaurdo of the goa'uld was grim, harsh and angry, and without uttering a word, hit the video recording device carefully placed on a golden column. Jandir and those present remained silent, especially Jandir, still holding the torture stick. Only when the access door did not close, leaving them alone, the jaffa did not say a single word.

"Because you have decided to suffer so immensely, Hedjhetep will torture you personally the next time, will tear your body and that of your human host, you may not have understood it!" asked the jaffa, approaching the prisoner chained to his arms and suspended in the middle of the interrogation room. The goa'uld took a breath before replying in turn to those few energies that still kept him awake in order to reply to Jandir's question.

"It is always a pleasure to see angry Hedjhetep when he does not follow what he requested, I will never give any information about not only the Ba'tak, but also about anything that happened on this planet, the secrets we maintain will remain so even after our death, it will be useless to bring us back to life because we will not allow our mind and that of our comrades to be probed and discharged, we will die and voluntarily damage our death, what remains of our secrets! " he completed the goa'uld, fainting from the fatigue and pain of torture. At those words, Jandir realized immediately that they would not get practically anything by torturing, but even if they did not do anything, the information would in any case be lost forever.

"You have chosen the path you are going through, if you had given me the information I desire, then the suffering would have been little or nothing, hedjhetep is only a puppet in the hands of Khnum, he believes he can move freely but Khnum always knows everything and know what your subject craves ... it does not matter that you keep the knowledge for yourself, Khnum will know how to take it away from you, he has always done it! " finally he completed Jandir looking at the now fainted and unconscious goa'uld. With firm steps, he first laid the Rod Anguish, then left the interrogation room carefully closing the door behind him. With decisive steps he moved away directly to the housings of the jaffà in one of the lower levels. On his way he met his comrade-in-arms.

"The prisoner did not speak, I guess, it did not matter if he did, Hedjhetep will not achieve anything anyway, Lord Khnum knows about his betrayal, he's waiting for the right moment to punish him properly!" He completed Jah'makor in his turn, looking into Jandir's eyes. The latter smiled, both woke up and knew how much he longed for Hedjhetep himself.

"Hedjhetep will probably reclaim this planet in the hope of finding his answers and in the meantime he will use his resources, but by then Khnum will send a fleet at the right moment and he will eliminate it, we just have to wait!" Jandir replied as the scene moves over the pel'tak of the ship where Hedjhetep is silent, sitting on his low golden throne in Grecoroman style with his acanthus scrolls. around him many jaffas but few of them are Ram Guards, most of them are Horus Guards and also some Serpent Guards. A very strong signal comes and the image of Khnum appears on the ship's visor.

"Lord Khnum, we are interrogating prisoners and for the moment we have not obtained the necessary information, we need more time to reach the final result!" exclaimed Hedjhetep trying to convince the System Lord on the ship's viewer.

Safenkel orbit
Ha'tak Hedjhetep

"Of your failures little or nothing interests me, I demand results, if they do not come, do not present yourself in my presence Hedjhetep!" he completed the System Lord by closing the video channel while Hedjhetep's gaze became increasingly grim and worried. He would not have expected this harshness from Khnum, which until then had been more than sympathetic to the potential failures. The torture had not given any positive result, no information had been taken, either by force, or in other means. Amenothep son of Hapu was stubborn in silence, suffering torture not to speak. Remained inside the pel'tak of the ship, the goa'uld sat down on the low throne seat and put his hands to his face a moment before standing up and going out.

"We remain in orbit, I will continue the interrogation personally, I really want to see if Amenothep really has the courage that until now shamelessly showed to have!" he completed coming out of the pel'tak while the present jaffas remained silent.

The goa'uld re-crossed the corridors going down the levels of the ship without using the conveyor rings that would allow him to arrive much sooner to his final destination. Being used to seeing the ha'tak goa'uldlivello by level, we never saw the stairs connecting the various levels of the pyramid ship. As the goa'uld proceeds, we see new corridors, additional cargo areas, armory rooms, and jaffa lodgings. as he proceeded, the jaffas in his sight bent their heads, but Hedjhetep gave him no importance or any look. Only once he reached the level and walked the long corridor, Hedjhetep noticed something strange. No guard was at the side of the door where the prisoner had been brought for the cuts and the subsequent interrogation. Gingerly, the goa'uld opened the golden door to enter the interrogation room. Amenothep was still hanging by the wrists apparently fainted from previous torture. The cold knife penetrated with mastery into Hedjhetep's abdomen and then severed his host's jugular. The blood splashed hard not only dirty the walls, but the same Amenothep who opened his eyes seeing that show that had presented itself to his eyes. Hedjhetep put his hand to the wound in his throat but collapsed on the ground, breathing air and trying to stop the impetuous bleeding, without success. Only when the goa'uld gave no more signs of life, the figure from the half-light, the murderous hand appeared showing its features. A jaffa with short black hair, a stern, serious look, watched Hedjhetep's bleeding body.

"Now you will kill me too?" Amenothep asked at the jaffa that he had brought forward to him. The latter sketched a smile initially, which became wider and more diabolical.

"I would be tempted to eliminate you too, but my task is quite different, Hedjhetep will be revived only to suffer the wrath of Khnum, he deserves the suffering that the Lord of Khenem will inflict, too badly done to my people, with this I do not claim to be a rebel jaffa, my loyalty is to goa'uld Khnum, no matter how much he is a parasite in a human host body, he has shown that repentance towards his army and his people, for this I will free you and you I will allow to abandon this ha'tak! " finally completed the jaffa returning completely serious.

"Will you want something in return I guess?" Amenothep asked in turn, making his eyes sparkle for a moment before completely resuming his cheeky attitude.

"A few words false God, I will lead you to the ship's Chappa'ai, you will abandon the orbit of Safenkel in order not to return, Khnum will again send other goa'uld if not Hedjhetep himself to capture you, the next time you will have no escape! " he completed freeing the goa'uld, leading him secretly to the great hall of the Chappa'ai. One coordinate after another and the seven symbols were activated by opening the whormole. The goa'uld remained silent and stopped a moment before crossing the event horizon.

"You should not have helped me escape, the next time we see each other again, we'll be enemies again and I'll take your treacherous head!" exclaimed Amenothep, crossing immediately after the stargate.

Hedjhetep ha'tak
Torture  room

After Amenothep passed the stargate and closed, Jeshir returned to the torture room where he had left Hedjhetep's body poured into his pool in a pool of blood. As he had left it, so he found it lifeless and on the ground. After having made the evidence of his guilt disappear, the jaffa activated the alarm and hit hard with bleeding copiously. Within a few minutes, a dozen or so jaffas arrived in the hall, disturbed by what had just happened. the staging was perfect, the only survivor was Jeshir, the one who had killed Hedjhetep and who now lay on his side covered in blood.

"Hedjhetep is dead, must be resurrected as soon as possible, an infiltrator has freed Amenothep and allowed him to escape, in an attempt to stop him I was wounded!" he exclaimed, reciting the jaffa, bringing his hand along his side where he had shot himself a shot.

Hearing those words, the jaffas split into two parts, one ran to the stargate, while the other half took the bodies of Hedjhetep and Jeshir and although they were carried in two different areas of the ship, they were accommodated. The goa'uld was cleaned and placed inside the sarcophagus almost completely naked but clean. Idem or almost for Jeshir. devoid of his jaffa armor, a jaffa priest or probably a goa'uld dressed in the robes of the priests seen at Chulak, he set out with a healing device, to heal his deep wound. It did not take long for the two flaps to close and close. Only when the priest had finished, what could be the priestesses of the Khnum cult came into the room, seeing the golden marks on their foreheads.

"Lord hedjhetep ..." Jeshir exclaimed, but his words were blocked by the finger of one of the white-skinned priestesses.

"You have to rest warrior, today you have served the god hedjhetep well!" the girl exclaimed.

"Do not worry about the God Hedjhetep, he will come back to life as he has always done, at this moment his priests are taking care of his mortal body, in the meantime we will control where the fugitive was headed and who helped him escape, whoever state has counted hours, the revenge of the Gods is implacable! " concluded the priestess stroking the face of the jaffa before giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"Better that way, I'm not really in a condition to try any countermeasure, a chase in my condition is useless, my companions will think, I have to recover from the injury or I will not be of any use!" he completed smiling and lying down in the bed that had been arranged in the room. After closing his eyes, Jeshir remained silent, apparently beaded, but actually alert to the moment when no one had been present in the hall.

Hedjhetep Ha'tak

One day later, Hedjhetep reappeared. The goa'uld was physically proven, the wounds on his body had healed completely and disappeared, but the goa'uld had not forgotten that feeling before being killed. He had clearly heard a goa'uld near him, a goa'uld that was not Amenothep, but someone else, or more likely a Jaffa. But he could not blame any of his carelessness because the news of his death and resurrection had also reached the planet Khenem. Khnum was about to arrive with his ship or perhaps he would send one of his subordinates. Sitting on the low throne of the pel'tak, the goa'uld saw the huge flagship of the System Lord emerge from the hyperspace window. A signal identified the arrival of the goa'uld Khnum ship.

"My Lord ... Lord Khnum has come and greets you!" the Ram Guard exclaimed without turning to the goa'uld behind him. The image of Khnum appeared on the triangular visor. the latter wore the same armor worn by Apophis in the episode -Threshold-. On either side of the throne we see two Ram Guards with their helmets closed and their weapons in their hands. Khnum's gaze is serious and calm, no emotion transpires from his enigmatic expression.

"Lord Hedjhetep I am aware of the fact that you let the prisoner escape, but during this flight you were stabbed and slaughtered to death, I am aware that among the ranks of the jaffas that militate on your ship there is a traitor or anyway someone who you feel great resentment towards you! " he completed the System Lord by making his eyes sparkle.

"I await you on board the Duat immediately, please do not make me wait!" concluded closing the video link leaving Hedjhetep worried about the consequences of his failure. He could not expect much from that meeting, he could not show himself armed and anyway it would have been useless to be, since any weapon would have been detected immediately.

"Jaffà ... my second at the controls of the ha'tak, I'm not sure to return, bring me also the jaffa that found me and tried to save, I want it to be brought in the presence of Khnum, in case his presence is meaningful to save me from the wrath of the System Lord! " concluded the goa'uld making his eyes sparkle.

The Duat (Khnum Flagship)

The conveyor ring materializes the figures not only of Hedjhetep, but also that of the jaffa, Jeshir, the latter wears again the armor jaffà despite the wounds and does not seem to possess a beautiful wax or appearance. Waiting for them is Rashaken, the only one who does not wear a helmet on his head.

"Lord Khnum awaits you in the pel'tak of the ship, if you have the will to follow me!" he completed the First Prime, but when Hedjhetep almost defied him, the weapons of the jaffas present descended towards the two guests. the goa'uld smiled before replying in turn.

"So we are considered prisoners by the one who rules the galaxy, lead us to Khnum, but this gesture does not cost you one day Rashaken life!" Hedjhetep replied, shining his eyes menacingly. The matok rods stood up and the two guests were led through the corridors to the pel'tak of the ship / throne of the primary throne. Khnum awaited them sitting on the golden throne no helmet on his head.

"I bow before your majesty Lord Khnum, I am honored and at the same time sorry for having forced you to come to this place without being able to offer you any information!" he completed trying to contain the fear for what could happen to him and beyond. Khnum remained silent while Rashaken took himself before the two guests.

"Aware of your failure Hedjhetep, humble you came in my presence, Safenkel has always been a mortal planet for anyone, on the surface was hidden and guarded Humbabab, always on the surface was built the Ba'tak, but now what most pressing me is reward the jaffa that wounded, it is interposed between your killer and you ... "and while he exclaimed these words

"Jeshir is your name jaffa, I feel your feeling inside of you, your loyalty to me, not to Hedjhetep ... you will be exonerated immediately from serving to Hedjhetep, you will immediately enter my retinue!" concluded the System Lord.

The  Duat (Continuation...)

Those words rang out like party bells and dead bells for Heshir and Hedjhetep. the goa'uld was clearly defeated, on the contrary the jaffa had achieved its purpose and this could only fill it with joy and at the same time, worry, since Khnum was indeed perhaps the only true System Lord still remained powerful enough to become an undisputed authority.

"My lord is very honored, my wounds will not prevent the task you have entrusted to me, I will know how to make you proud!" replied the jaffa smiling happily at the System Lord, while the latter waved Hedjhetep away from the pel'tak of the ship, leaving only the jaffa. Escorted by Rashaken and two other Ram Guards, Hedjhetep remained silent as he reached the conveyor rings. he would be back on board his ship, at least not even if he was confiscated.

In his mind, the hatred of that jaffa that he had dared to show off, his insolence disguised as servility, could not go unpunished. Moreover, being hit by treason was something that only the most ruthless Ash'raks or jaffas did. But Jeshir had never given the impression of having better capabilities than other well-better jaffas. The idea as it was born, died quickly. In the pel'tak of the ship Khnum had given the order to land on the planet below, and Jeshir would take part in the first real inspection of the System Lord on the planet Safenkel.

"My lord ... Hedjhetep is back on his ha'tak as you ordered, we ask permission to destroy his ship and fulfill your will!" Rashaken asked in the meantime, having returned to the flagship pel'tak. Khnum remained silent for a moment before replying in turn.

"No, for the moment he will live to redeem himself, Hedjhetep is an extremely proud goa'uld, he will want to regain my trust, let him do it!" the System Lord replied, seeing nods present, including Rashaken himself.

Last Stand

"The inspection of the sacred tombs of the city of Djedet has been completed successfully, we have found very old thefts, but in the vast majority it is little stuff stolen, the bodies of the owners of the tombs and their families have not suffered insults and in this moment we found a rather calm and peaceful situation in the city, soon I will move to the small community / city of Delas to inspect the small necropolis! " he completed Dedwen waiting for Khnum to reply in turn. the System Lord wore the same garb of Teal'c's memories and sat on the throne of his flagship. Around him several Ram Guards, Horus Guards and even Serpent Guards, each in silence.

"You will report as soon as you have completed this inspection!" the System Lord said dryly closing the video channel, resuming his activities for a moment shelved. It took a moment before the goa'uld spoke to those present again.

"Safenkel is not one of the many planets that has returned to adore me, it is still necessary to keep a local lord who maintains my active cult and that he is faithful to me, I would say that Hedjhetep could be a good choice because he knows the surface of the planet ... "he completed, leaving speechless the same Hedjhetep remained until then in silence and in a part of the pel'tak.

"As my lord, you want to entrust me this planet as your nomarch, it would be a great honor for me to serve you in this way, but I will need a battalion to defend it from external attacks like those of the Lucian Covenants or other gangs of criminals, not to mention interference from external forces like the Shol'vah and their Tau'rì allies! " Hedjhetep replied, taking himself to the System Lord.

"I am aware of Hedjhetep, you will be assigned to this mining planet, from this moment you will serve me as Safenkel's nomarche, you will have your jaffas and your ha'tak as before, but you will pay me a constant and monthly tribute in naquadah otherwise I will be myself to come and pretend it! " he completed by making the System Lord glint in his eyes, looking at the subordinate Hedjhetep before him.

"I will not fail to honor you and serve you Lord Khnum!" he replied chinanndo head and coming out of the hall of the pel'tak, leaving those present in silence. Only First Prime dared to speak to goa'uld.
