{Frau Roberta Hanna}

<Road to Baden Baden>

 After a little fiddling with seating being only a two door, Bobbie ended up in the front passenger seat, Taer in back with Cooper and Fred driving. The poor POW was soon out of sight, with Bobbie insisting that they waited at least that long, she watched as he reached the last bend in the road then turn east. "Good luck Jimmy." She said when he finally disappeared. "I hope he makes it home, he deserves it just for the effort he put in trying and I have another hope, that no one is looking for this car." Not too mention the Mercedes they stole, that was going to cause some problems.

 So it came down to it, they were once again on their way with Fred only mangling the gears once or twice he soon got the hang of it. At one kilometer from the City she had Fred pull over again. "Okay we know roughly where the first warehouse is, we also know that there will be several guard posts on the road in. Do we continue and hope we can bluff it, or walk from here skirting around any possible confrontations?" She knew they were going to have more than their share once they reached their target.

Chimeing in from the back seat of 'the Bug', Cooper thought about their situation,"If your asking for a vote, I'm leaning towards leaving the car here.  Yes, the riding is great, but, the closer we get to the city, the more possibilities there might be that this vehicle might be commanderred!  All their forces are trying to defend "die Vaterland!", both officers and troops, etc.  But, if we start to 'hoof it', we can try to avoid any confusions, convoys or problems along the way!

Fred took a moment to think.
"We could split up..." He said with a shrug. "if you have any papers on you umm..." He looked to her and shrugged having forgotten her name for a moment. "Roberta." He then continued. "You leave some of them in the car. And The Cap-i-tan here." He said nodding to Cooper. "And his... What ever the German equivalent of a Batsman is." He said nodding to Taer. "Found your car on the side of the road and brought it to the nearest friendly base. They can search the parts of the base that arnt restricted.  Whilst you and me sneak in the back. Because if they catch you somewhere your not meant to be, well, they are less likely to think you are a spy and are just lost, and I dont know blag and tell them I am your escort but was caught in a bombing raid and am deaf and dumb." He shrugged. "But this is a group vote. But I dont think taking the car with us or leaving it here will prevent it getting nicked one way or the other."

 Robyn thought about it for as long as a minute, more than enough time to weigh up the situation as she saw it and as she was certain events would take them to. "We leave the car, chances are someone is looking for it in any case and since Jimmy came from the direction we're headed it might take a bit too much explaining for us to say how we came to have it. So we as stand now, with the city in partial ruins we'll have the best chances on foot, a ragged bunch looking for shelter if asked." Thankfully she knew from the records that the two warehouses they were to find survived the war intact, they had that much going for them.

 "Right, gather what we need, Harry you're with me, Chief and Captain Taer lead us out until we're within visual of the first check point. Once we're there we'll look for the best way around them." Or not depending on how open the ground is.

Fred took a moment to had out the weapons they had, He gave Taer and Cooper a sten gun and a magazine carrier each, having taken them back when they got in to the car. He then handed Taer the Kar 98K though not common for people to carry two primary weapons, it wasnt impossible.
"Just, try not to kill people unless you have to. So mostly just shoot around people if it comes to it." He said as he handed them a few potato masher type grenades each. trying to give them the most realistic load out.

Taer approached Robyn and nodded. Accepting a few weapons from Fred, he responded to him, "I know the drill, sir." he sighed. Siding himself along the chief, Taer spoke, "Alright, let's head out."

Sniffing the air, Taer detected a sort of an metallic odor lingering in the wind. The air felt cold to him and he expected to get kind of chilly ahead where they were going.

{Frau Roberta Hanna}

<Road to Baden Baden>

 They had but only no more than a good twenty minute walk at a brisk pace to reach the city limits and a decent walk it proved to be. By the time they had the first outpost in visual range Bobbie was sweating despite the early summer's morning cooler temperatures. She placed her finger to her lips as they drew near then looked around for a place to conceal themselves. A burnt out truck was nearby, Bobbie led them there. "I don't know about you three but I am sweating and it isn't from any heat." She looked over the old vehicle to the city, there were fires still burning from the last raid. "I think we'd have a good chance of slipping in now. I'm going on memory but from this point the first warehouse is about a kilometer north east of here on the opposite side of a large park and while I think there might be a lot of people about I don't think they'll bother us to much. Once we reach the warehouses though that will be another story. It'll be well guarded and we know it has a three meter fence all the way around it. So since I'm no soldier and have zero experience in this type of operation, I need suggestions now as to how we get in."

Major Fred Rivers

 - AKA Obergefreiter Frederick Leamann

<Road to Baden Baden>

Fred looked to Taer when he said he knew the drill. He couldnt help but smile and tease. "
"What come back in time and play with paradoxes all the time do you?" He then followed the group as they walked he had to admit he was getting a little warm but not that warm, he made sure to stick to the shade as much as possible. as they walked he gently worked the bold in his mauser, not the full way back forth, he didnt want to eject a round, but in terms of bolt action rifles, he was more accustomed to a Lee Enfield, and was trying to get his muscle memory for the new rifle ingrained in himself. He was a little confused he had assumed they were comming up to some sort of military installation, not some garrison scattered around a city, it made the mission easier, and more difficult, easier because they were in smaller groups, but harder because there would be no way of telling just how many men the enemy had. Robyn then asked for suggestions he wasnt to sure what to think. She seamed to go from knowing it all to having huge gaps in her knowledge.
"Well it depends..." he began. "If they deem the warehouses to be important the SOP for the German army at this time is to secure a few streets around it, basically anywhere from a platoon to a company's worth of guys, but if they dont care then its just gonna be a few guys on a check point out the front. As for the fence, three meters is easy to climb. Of we can cut it. Or go under it, if its barbed wired we just need a blanket. Easy as p*ss."

Cooper listened while "Frau Roberta" spoke and he was trying to figure out their chances and how to broach the subject."Im sure 3 of us have been in similar situations, but, we need to see what we are up against.  The Major is right about the possible troop strengths, but we need to scout out any specifics, when possible!  I'd give a weeks leave in Pataya Beach, Thailand to have a sniper scope or a pair of binoculars right now.  If we could see the target and ascertain the forces guarding the site, we can come up with a stronger plan!"

 {Frau Roberta Hanna}

 "Whichever way we do this I believe you guys are going to need a distraction. I'd prefer to get in without arousing the main gate or garrison out front and you know..." She paused for a moment thinking things through. "...I wish like crazy Sam and Cate had let us bring Zats but they didn't so we'll have to make do. Besides they never said we couldn't use them if we just happen to find them did they?" She was going on the remote chance that if the gate is located at one of these warehouses then it was a good chance this Goa'uld chick has Jaffa guarding it. "What influence they have on the Germans is another story but I'm thinking Seth here and nish'ta. So we need to be wary in this case."

 She thought then about moving off immediately then stopped. "Binoculars, yes we could do with a couple of them at least. I don't know how accurate those War movies were but German officers always seemed to have a pair of them slung around their neck. It'd be handy wouldn't it, so if you see one we'll target him. Right then, we move." Without delay she led them off this time, Bobbie was totally focused in getting to their target with that big 18 day clock booming in her head with each hour passing. "Come on, quickly." She told them leading off to the left going parallel to the first line of buildings, many just mere shells. After another five minutes or so she found a gap with no one in sight, Bobbie went straight in using the shadows to advantage.

<Outside Secured Warehouse Area>

Fred took a moment to scan around the area, cupping his hands around his eyes like a kid, but it helped. Kept him from getting distracted by other things, He noticed a bit of a blank spot. it wasnt quite a spot that couldnt be seen but if they could distract the guard post on the front left, from his point of view, they should be able to sneak in.
"Okay." He began to himself as he sat back a little.
"We can sneak round and cut the wire there. If we can distract the guard post. That's down to one of you to." He said nodding to the Cooper and Bobbie as their German Speakers.
"Who ever gose it will be worth taking..." He nodded to Taer having forgotten his cover name.
"Him with you, makes you seam more official to have a... Batsman or an escort. or what ever you want to call him." He then took a few moments to adjust his gear. Moving his revolver holster to a more forwards position and slinging both the SMG and the rifle. on his back.
"Now I just hope I remember how to cut wires with this." He said drawing his Kukri for a moment and putting it under his arm pit as he removed the pistol belt, holster and browning Hi Power for Bobbie,
"Take this, Just incase." What ever job she chose, it would be useful for her to be armed.

Taer looked at Fred with a quizzical look and muttered, "Bats...what?," he sighed and shook his head. Getting his thoughts in order, the captain spoke casually, "Anyways, seems like I'm the "Grunt" in this mission. I don't mind. Really. I'll go knocks some heads. Get that binocular if we need something. He's right, so I'll go with. I do believe," he lowered his voice to add, "Bobbie should distract the guard." He shrugged hoping they would catch his meaning. There were some truth to the movies that women can use their wiles to distract people.

 {Frau Roberta Hanna}

 "I'll take care of them." She jerked her thumb behind her shoulder indicating the nearest corner guard post. "I want you three to stay together though, I can do this alone and there is little advantage of us splitting up now. Once you're through..." She leaned out from the wall to see a lone guard patrolling inside the perimeter. She pulled back. "...there's one bloke doing rounds and I suspect he'll move on. Wait until he's well out of the way before you make your move and of course wait until you see me have the other's turn away from that longer side fence. Once you're in, I'll figure out how to catch up with you, but...whatever happens we can't fail. If I don't meet you somewhere inside the complex, keep going. We need to find that Gate and if its here the chances are high that Jaffa will be here as well. If its not, we move on its as simple as that." Was it really? Sooner or later their luck might run out. "Are we all clear?" Bobbie took the weapon from Fred/Harry, inspected it briefly, feeling its weight. She also knew there were a couple of drawbacks with it, as in for her it was hard to fire having a heavy trigger and there was often as she had experienced in the past a tendency for it to bite your hand; but she had learned to deal with that. "Hopefully I won't need to use it, but thanks just the same Fred."

{Chief Petty Officer Cooper Morgan}
aka{Hauptman Dietrich Hans Daimler}
Road to Baden-Baden

Cooper/Dietrich listened to "Robertas" comments and agreed with her, with just a tad of a grin.  He had already thought of this ploy, being a fan of movies set in WWII.  A pretty face could always prove to be a distraction for a guard, especially one who had nothing to do but walk his 'beat' . Feeling confident in her plan, he addressed her,"Bitte Frau Roberta"..just know that we will get this done, but your safety is also just as important to this mission.  You watch yourself there and we will get into the base, but signal us first, as you approach the guard, we will be ready for 'what-ever'!!
