"Alright" Callaghan began after listening to what was going to happen. "We'll take the Japanese  SFs" he stated. He turned to his team. He pointed to the white building at the top of the map. "Hernandez, take Foster and set up there with an M24."

"Are there any other ways in?"
he asked the Colonel. "How are we on tracking? I'm thinking that one team takes the tunnel, while another could beam in on the wall, or in one of the towers when no one's watching? Or after the particular section of wall we're going into has been cleared by our snipers." he was just spitballing here. He didn't like the idea of both teams entering from the same place. In his experience, it was usually better (and easier) to have teams work towards each other.

The ground was changing rather rapidly, with what was going on, Mike knew that he simply needed to keep up. It seemed that they were given the go ahead from the brass about Japan. Mike nodded at the mention of being suited up in their day dress. His lips pressed together as McMillan seemed to hit the nail on the head when she spoke about him wanting to be among the men on this particular op - but orders were indeed orders. He certainly could see where the lieutenant was coming from, that they needed to command at this particular moment. Mike briefly took a glance at the live feeds before his attention was back on the room.

Mike nodded, his attention turning to the two other groups in the room. He had forgotten exactly how crowded it had been. His attention was drawn back to the screen where the image of what it was they were planning on attacking was shown, paying rapt attention to remember the smallest of details. It seemed simple on paper/screen, but he was old enough to know the complications that could come from diplomatic and political relations with the Japanese. "Seems pretty straight forward. Of course, it will come with it's unsaid problems of once one gets on the ground to see the situation for what it is. Looks like we have a fair amount of ground to keep coverage over, how reliable is the intel?"

He folded and unfolded his arms, holding the firm belief that nothing would remain as clean-cut once their team was out on the ground. "What time are we looking at for this to happen?"

Frank was more than happy to accomodate the other team who were in the room, with them choosing to pose as the Japanese SF, they were going to take up with the police unit. The lieutenant had laid out the ground rules for their weapon systems clearly, so there were no discrepancies of what they were there to do. Their role was to assist the Japanese in the mission but it was their glory once the mission was finished.

He listened carefully to what had been said about the police unit having discovered the underground tunnel system. "For what its worth, being that the counter-terrorist unit's been the one to find the tunnels, I'd say they would want to use it to their advantage." Frank eyed the ground carefully, before glancing over to Wolfpack's CO. "If we have one team above ground, another below, we can work our way into the center building, clear it from bottom and the top."

Frank was weighing up the options, checking out what would be the most effective way. Of course he knew plans could change and he would have to end up conferring with the chief of the unit once they got on the ground. "Presumably we are rendezvousing with the respective units?"

"Since there isn't much time and the clock is ticking as we speak, all of us knowing these terrorists groups don't respect their own words, let's assume the worst and these jerks will start killing our people very soon. Each team will have two of these." He picked up one of the five LSD's, or life signs detectors, from the table. One he'd hang onto himself. "Since we can't distinguish who is good or bad, I can tell you the hostages will be still, the Tangos will be moving about, or at least a good majority of them will be. Actual blueprints will be uploaded onto your PDA so you'll know exactly where you are via your GPS tracking."

Last thing, always that last detail. "Once the roof top, tower and wall guards have been eliminated. snipers rejoin your team pronto. One team will enter via the tunnels, you can flip for that, the second team will stand by to breach the main front doors with a satchel pack, those damned things are teak and 18 inches thick. Remember your main focus will be on reaching the Temple building itself, so once inside the perimeter you will need to be the Flash, I estimate that once they know they've been breached you'll have less than 4 minutes to get in and free the hostages. Any last questions?" They could of course sort out those last minute things on site.

{LT Stephanie McMillan - USN ONI}

"Squirrelly or not, sir, I'm not the one in command of this outfit, you are. That means you don't always get to play in the dirt with them. Or dump this all on me so you can get some trigger time. I'm your intel officer, not the team mom. Colombia was the exception, not the rule. This outfit is for intelligence support and training, not direct intervention, and if that mandate isn't to your taste, then jump to Grizzly, Wolfpack or Mako and we can find someone who isn't going to leave me holding the bag because you have yet to accept that a command role isn't the same in the real world as it is with an SG Team." Stephanie said.

"Now. We'll get the uniforms replicated for you all, but it's pretty obvious you all need to keep yourselves as covered as possible when in view of the general public. Don't utter a word to the newsies if you get questioned, it won't take the internet long to realize you're not a native Japanese speaker. The prefecture cops and JGSDF will try to keep them away but you never know, just say nothing and move past them. If any of your read Rainbow Six, that's what we're going for. All the public credit goes to the Japanese, the presence of an American, Australian, and Brit are purely because we are representatives of our respective embassies, invited to oversee matters by the Japanese government. Which is ALSO why us three cannot be seen in there unless it's all gone to hell, which at that point, we might as well pull the plug, because then all the hostages are dead, both teams are KIA, and we're up a creek without even a stick to float on."

"By the time we arrive on site, we should have clear intel on the tangos, as well as their demands and timeframe. This is a classic situation - the second we execute, you have got to move with speed, precision, and drop these guys before they know you're there. If this goes sideways, that means dead bodies and we've failed. It also means we've lost the trust of the Japanese, because they also have to endure the embarrassment if it fails, which I'll point blank it - if we fail, Japan may very well be forced to bow out of the Program. Oh, and the SGSOCOM project will have been a demonstrable failure, resulting in the IOA shutting us down, plus the Admiral loses considerable face. We all get kicked to back end postings in our parent units, likely to be forced to retire as soon as we can, the Admiral will get replaced, and this entire Command shuts down."

She looked Ben squarely in the eye.

"So you can understand why I'm a little touchy about you wanting to go get some trigger time."

Ben stood erect, the time was up. "I'll make it crystal clear for you Lieutenant, neither I or I would hazard a guess that Mister Baker are in a great hurry to embrace death or danger that might go contrary to the mission. We know our job and that is exactly what we will do. But if there is a clear and present danger and either of us are able to assist quickly, you know yourself its within our MO to do so. That being said I don't envisage it happening." He tapped his coms. "Apollo, MacGregor, stand by to beam out Blackbird, Wolfpack and Grizzly, destination Kyoto Japan."

"Roger that Colonel. Copied." Came the reply.

With the winding down of the Task Force teams, Ben was getting ready to find what his new assignment might be, knowing it was possibly either back to the Alpha Site or the Antarctic base. Both would suck family wise. Then the radio on his desk buzzed, he answered it.

 "MacGregor."

*Radio*

"Ben its Maria Aguayo here. Is Warrant Officer Baker around?"

The man in question was, doing the same thing as he. "He is, do you need to speak to him?"

"No, you can tell him the message. He's being drafted to Pegasus to lead an AR team, tell him he has an hour to pack."

Well that was far better than doing nothing. Ben was happy for the bloke.      "Will do and Maria, find something decent for me will ya, or I will go nuts okay."

"I'll see what I can do Ben."

The radio shut down with an empty buzz. Ben swung around in his chair whistling loudly. "Old man!" He loved digging the bloke. "You've got an hour to pack, you're going to Atlantis."

Of course, Mike was disappointed in the winding down of the taskforces, especially his whirlwind assignment to Blackbird. But, he had been around long enough to know things never went according to plan and there was always going to be someone above him pulling strings and making the decisions that he was not capable of making at his level. He had gone about clearing his desk, taking down his personal items.

Of course, he had stopped at packing away a team photo from '79 when he had been a young Royal assigned to 40 Commando and for a moment, allowed himself to backtrack over memory lane. Mike was never one to focus too intensely on the past, but it was a quiet moment of reflection before the loud whistle brought the Warrant Officer back into the present.

Mike glared at Ben for a moment, rolling his eyes as he managed a chuckle at him. His brow rose at the mention of the quick change of stations - heading off to Atlantis. "Well, isn't that a stroke of luck." He commented, semi-seriously. Eventually he brought himself up to his full height of 6'2" as he approached Ben, sticking a hand out. "It was good serving alongside you, MacGregor. Don't be a stranger now, won't you? I'm sure we'll cross paths eventually."

Getting out of his swivel chair Ben strode across the floor two meters to give Mike a friendly bear hug. "Mate we're a team, even parted." He said letting go. "You've shown this young dog a few tricks and that ain't easy to put aside. And a word of caution Mike, take a supply of your own tea, the stuff they have out there could be used for fertilizer. Take care and we will see each other again I know it." Premonition? Not really, but where else could they send him at some point. He finished with a hearty hand shake. "You'd better trot, Maria can get really testy if her orders aren't carried out."

Mike returned the hug, with one of a bear hug of his own. He nodded, a wry smile on his features as he scratched at his stubble. "Ah, sound. I never head anywhere without my own supply to make a wet anyway, but thanks for the heads up." He hoped he'd encountered Grizzly and considering that Stargate was a semi-close knit circle, Mike knew that there was a high chance to find time for a catch up. Mike shook the outstretched hand, "Roger that, I'll get on my way."
