Taleeya didn't really recognize anyone whom had died as she was still learning who was who at the SGC, but still to see innocent people murdered made her blood boil.  She had watched her own people be cut down like that and she wasn't about to stand for it here.

She snagged up her staff weapon which she never left home without and accepted one of the Zat guns.  Now that she could get into.  Of course she knew how to use a gun, but her staff weapon would always be her ideal choice.  She grabbed up a couple other weapons, making sure each had ammo with them just in case.

"Blowing the SGC?  So I'm thinking fighting is out of the question judging by the deaths already," she said, looking around.  This was ludicrous.  "Is it possible to just leave through the main door?"

Sam grabbed energy weapons of both types, pulling on a vest over her fatigues.

"...self destruct would be a good idea, Vala, yeah. As for escape, we could try to fight our way out the front gate, hopefully our reserve troops aren't too far out. I could also try to contact Command and get the Colorado National Guard here. Or we try for the Stargate, we do have an Alpha Site." Sam suggested.

"Alright, let's get moving. Gal, lead us off. Taleeya, bring up the rear, make sure no one sneaks up on us. First stop is to either the elevator or stairs to get to the mainframe." Cam said, readying his weapon.

Daniel kept an ear out for further commands from Mitchell. It was almost reflexive at this point, keeping an ear out for his soft southern drawl instead of Jack's distinct Minnesota vowels. He stuck close to Vala. Of the two of them, she was more of a soldier than he was, but he would pull his own weight in a firefight.

"It was a random concept given what you're facing Samantha, I don't think there are too many options left for you. The other thing, it'll deny the enemy an asset they'll need as much as you do, for it can always be recovered at a later point. Speaking of which you do have ships don't you?" Her mind was now in full Qetesh mode, not of the Goa'uld so to speak but of the tactical wisdom that creature had left for Vala to dwell on. "If we need to get back I don't fancy our chances digging through the rubble of the SGC to get outside."

It was time to move again, Vala pressed against Daniel as close as circumstances allowed. "We'll get through this Daniel and when we do I think we can finish that dinner date from so long ago." After the incident with Athena almost four years ago now, Vala had been scared off restaurants since then, it had left her mentally scarred, with the process of healing being left to time. Now was as good as any to correct that.

Following the Englishman out they were soon pointed in the direction of the closest elevator. At around thirty feet away the doors opened to reveal four heavily armed SF's of the wrong side facing them. Instantly fire came their way and with practiced instinct Vala pushed Daniel aside, pulled the one and only grenade from her vest, bowling it underarm in the best female fashion to roll directly at the men's feet. "Grendade!" She yelled to warn her friends.  Whether by accident or the wrong decision, one of them closed the door with the sound of a compressed blast coming straight after that. "Apparently the stairs are our better option now aren't they Cameron?"

"Sir" Gallagher said as he cocked his rifle and took the lead towards the lifts. He kept his rifle raised as he carefully walked towards the lifts, occasionally having to step over bodies. He knew it should have affected him, but really he was a little desensitised because most of these people were strangers to him, and were not even from where he was from anyway.

As they came close to the lift, the doors suddenly opened and out came a number of troops. The Major quickly ducked for cover and began shooting as they opened fire. He stopped firing and ducked into cover again as he heard the word 'grenade'.

Somewhat hesitantly he stuck his head out a second after he heard the muffled blast. "Moving" he said the moment he saw that it was clear, resuming their trip but now going for the stairway. His meticulous study of the SGC's layout was starting to pay off.

They encountered no further significant resistance on the way. They came across a singular enemy that Gallagher dealt with with two shots in the chest.

"What floor are we going for?" he asked the General.

It sounded like this definitely wasn't going to be an easy thing to deal with.  They still didn't know completely who their enemies were and it seemed here that friends were enemies.  Taleeya didn't like it one little bit.  She also didn't feel like dying here though.  The Jaffa nodded. "On it, sir," she promised, moving to take the rear.  She wasn't about to let anyone take down her friends.  At least not while she was still living.

Taleeya glanced around, her shoulders tense.  She barely flinched though as Vala threw the grenade.    It looked like they needed to move quickly and quietly now.
