SG-18
« on: January 11, 2019, 12:23:56 AM »

Name: James H. Fox (Fox 1)

Age: 40~ July 6th 1971

Rank: 1st Lieutenant USMC

Position: CO SG-18

Appearance:

5’10”. Short cropped black hair, dark complexion, brown eyes, and solid build.

Personality: Tough no nonsense type of man, yet with a sense of humor. He’s generally by the book in most things though prone to melancholy at times when he thinks too hard on life.

ATA Gene: Yes

History:
Born into a family of five, Jim was the youngest and as a native Seattlean it was expected as with his father and his two brothers to end up at Boeing. When the time came for him to go to Trade College and begin his apprenticeship with the mammoth company a recession hit the airline industry. Seeking other avenues he joined the Air Force in 89’ and in 1997 as a Senior Airman he found himself at Cheyenne Mountain being asked to sign his life away. It was good, no better than good but in 2001 when his third of enlistment was up he wanted to try something else. That ended up being the US Marine Corps, where he eventually saw action in Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2007 he was sent for Officer Training, in early 2008 he found himself once more under the mountain as a 2nd Lt and from there to the Alpha Site. His current mission status is babysitting a bunch of scientists on a dig site.

As in his words, 'Married, two point five kids, a Labrador and a station wagon.

Life is a dream — that knows no shade.
Life is a dream — of pain and woe.
A dream from which — we pray to wake.
A dream from which — we wake and go

Name: Amira Khoury (Ames)

Age: 32~ October 11th 1979

Rank: 2nd Lieutenant

Position: XO SG-18

Appearance: 5’5” tall, medium build, olive skin, dark hair and light brown eyes.

Personality: The joker of the team. You’d expect it to be Castle but it wasn’t. If someone was going to prank you, or be the first to tell a crass joke it’d be Amira. At the very same time she was the most decent and respectful person you’d likely to find with a pleasant demeanour and ready smile.

ATA Gene: No

History:

Amira is a native of Beirut, Lebanon. She immigrated to the US with her family when she was three, growing up in a small mid western town in Iowa (hence her long drawl). On graduation from high school she went into college to train as a Paramedic first responder, a job she did well. By the time she was 25 though the war in Afghanistan was starting to see a lot of wounded and maimed soldiers coming home; she needed to help. Enlisting in the marines rather the Navy she felt if eventually in a squad her training would be of more immediate help and it was. After two straight tours she was once again on the move, strangely and rather shockingly to some, another galaxy when she was pointed at the Stargate Program by a very sharp enlistment officer who had read her file. In mid 2010 while on the Alpha site she passed her officer entry exams and became a part of SG-18 its inception under an old hand, James H. Fox.

Name: Kayla Wojcik (KK)

Age: 25~ 19th January 1986

Rank:  Sergeant E5

Position: Tech specialist-K9 handler

Appearance: 5’6” Slim, red to light brown hair, tanned, blue eyes

Personality: For most people KK as she is known is far too bubbly. But underneath that joyful exterior lies a troubled past and one she is at pains to put beyond her. She is one those young woman who tries for all her worth to find good in everything. To that point she can be annoying, but as the ‘kid’, the team protect her like nothing on Earth as they all know what she has come through.

ATA Gene: yes

History:

Despite her family name, Kayla is a proud eighth generation American from both sides of her family. One side though she’d rather not have known and therein lies her living hell. Her mother endured eight years of abuse and scars from her husband until she could take it no more and when she said she was leaving with the kids, he tried to kill them all. Luckily his madness was stopped when he was filmed in the act of dousing the house with fuel and that was the end of Kayla’s torment; but not in her mind. Her mother remarried and KK proudly took her step dad’s name and in his honour, a former Marine, she signed up. But she had a brain and the USMC saw it, with them putting her through a new technological training program she very soon came under the notice of the Stargate Programme recruiting directive. Never having set foot outside of the US of A, Kayla’s first deployment after three wonderful years with the Corps; was under the watchful eye of non other than Colonel Samantha Carter until she was ready for service with a team. The first was SG-5 (2 years), then at the end of 2010 she joined SG-18. She is also the team K-9 handler with ‘Ruffles’.
