<<Princess Ríoghnach Aoibhell, Keltic Ambassador to Earth, NPC>>

"We have been given Irish passports," Ríoghnach replied. "Then the SGC contacted your Prime Minister and got his permission to enter the country. After we landed near Brisbane we were escorted through your border customs with all the required forms already filled in and given to us to sign. And that was that."

She changed the subject. "Now, to get to the purpose of this meeting. Her Majesty has very firmly sat on the hardliners in the Royal Council. There will be no more talk of preemptive raids or terrorist states. Our efforts will be to gather intelligence and pass it along for action. We will provide back up if requested. We would like to find some way to neutralize the Iranian Parchin nuclear facility. We are also closely watching North Korea. We will shoot down any nuclear armed missiles they may launch and afterwards we will take out the launch sites with kinetic strikes."

It wasn't surprising really to Anne as she knew it had been done before not so long ago. The woman now known as Sabrina Matthews was once the former Goa'uld Athena, now apparently a Tok'ra (Anne still wasn't sure how that worked, although Cate did give her some long winded sciencey explanation for it) had been granted full British citizenship even to the point as Anne was aware she had been given a history as being born on Earth to some very wealthy family. It was truly amazing how deceitful humans could be; she didn't approve of it for any reason. Still ever graceful she never showed it. "Makes sense, although you're lucky you came at this time, a year earlier with the previous Government prior to the elections I'm sure they would have been looking for another country to settle you in."

Just as she was about to speak on the next topic, her phone rang. "Excuse me a moment please." Anne said to both of them. She spoke at length for a least a minute or two, then listened even long. "I understand Kim and yes please do." She slipped the phone back into her pocket a saddened look on her face. "Linda that was our Chief Nursing officer Kimberly Sutton, her little girl Sophia has had a bad fall from her pony. She asked if she could bring her here rather than Colorado Springs General. Given who she is and the possible security implications at this time I said yes. So, it might be a good opportunity for both of you to see how our medical facilities shape up around here. Kim will be here in around ten minutes, I'll have to go and see what Nurses I can round up." She stood at that point, then a thought struck her, all this talk would have been more valued on someone like Jack or even Steven. But still she had a good ear in any case.

<<Princess Ríoghnach Aoibhell, Keltic Ambassador to Earth, NPC>>

<<AVM Linda Fraser, Commander, SGC>>

"Oh dear," Linda said. "I hope she isn't too badly injured. And yes, I would like to see you in your lair. I've been sadly amiss in venturing to other places here." She stood.

"I too would like to see your medical facilities," Ríoghnach said. She stood and automatically reached for her medical bag. "Please let me know if I can assist. Our medical training includes medical care without our devices, as you never know when you may crash on a planet somewhere and not have access to them. I have sewn up wounds before."

"From what Kim said rather hurriedly over the phone it sounds as if Sophie has broken her arm. Its hard to decipher the shrieking of a hysterical mother but at least I understand where she is coming from." Anne started walking while she was talking. "Its a case of been there done that for me, several times in fact. For Cate more so than Ben strangely enough. If it wasn't horse riding, it was skateboarding or some other insane activity she was engaged in all before puberty. Thank God she managed to settle down a wee bit after that." Only just, there were still more than enough hair raising moments Will and Anne had to contend with their daughter and to Anne it was an ongoing thing even to this day, never knowing what next was going to come at her via her daughter.

"Up to level twenty one, we'll be there in less than five minutes via the elevator." Her short statue not withstanding, Anne was quite quick on her feet as she all but ran down the hallway.

*Linda's desktop-transcript of message from Alpha Site*
>Sender- Chief Petty Officer Miki Sakai JSDF<

"Walter, this is Miki. We have a situation here as we informed you earlier, Colonel Bixby has along with staff found the best way to try and ease the burden on both our troops and that of the Cavaleiros, is to launch a preemptive strike on the Forerunner's homeland. By doing this we are effectively giving ourselves a way out of the Treaty. Josile is on board with this. Can you inform the Commander please."

Jon shook McRaven's hand, then followed him up to the office.

He hadn't recognized the new young pups with SG-1 patches on their sleeves, but of course SG-1 would have passed on to new command. He was never going to wear that designation again, and he'd made his peace with that.

He paused in the doorway of McRaven's office. He'd sat in the commander's chair before, usually during on-base training exercises. He knew the Old Guy had sat in that chair for real, once he'd gotten his stars, before he'd been booted up the ladder to the Pentagon.

He waited for McRaven to get settled, address him. McRaven knew who he was. How many people did? Walter was still running the gate. Did Walter know who he was? The last time Walter had seen him, he'd looked fifteen.

"Don't mean to inconvenience you, sir. I'll get out of your hair as soon as possible."

McRaven shut the door behind them, and took note that boxes with his name on them were already here. It wouldn't have surprised him if all of his things had been beamed from his office at MacDill to here, but for the moment, nothing was set up. He'd have to deal with that later.

"It's not that, Lieutenant. We just have a lot happening all at once, my arrival included." Ian said before sitting down behind the desk, giving the chair a try. Not bad, but he was likely going to have to break it in. "At ease, take a seat."

McRaven took a moment to collect his words before speaking, as this was quite an unusual situation but O'Neill had brought him up on the broadest of terms of it.

"I can say, without a doubt, that you are the most unusual case I've had dropped in my lap. So. While I obviously am in need of someone with your expertise, I also have to respect the layers of confidentiality and discretion here. How we want to play that, well, that'll be up to you. But we don't need to worry about that quite yet, you can chew on that one for a minute and decide later." Ian said before pausing for a moment and then resuming, "However, you have been assigned to SG-9, who have just returned from a lengthy expedition off-world, so they're being stood down for leave. You're free to use that time to get to know the facility and your new teammates, as well as get yourself fully situated. I just need to let Colonel Reynolds know, but I intend to inform him that he's getting a bright young Marine from MARSOC, and given how recently the Marines actually got off their backsides and joined the 21st Century with JSOC, that'll suffice as resume enough for me to put you on a team." Ian hadn't been too involved with that effort, the Marines were too full of pride to let a SEAL tell them what to do, but he knew the story backwards and forwards.

"So. If that all sounds like a plan to you, I'll hand you off to Reynolds tomorrow around lunch and that'll be that. Past that, if you have any questions for me, fire away. Otherwise, I need you to report to Medical to get your shots and subdermal stuff. Something I have to do later when I actually have a moment." The SEAL Admiral chuckled at that.

Jon sat at McRaven's invitation, because he didn't want to start off on the wrong foot with the man who was his CO. He'd respected George, and he'd heard good things about Hank, and if the Old Guy trusted McRaven, well, Jon would trust him too. For now.

"If you don't mind, sir, I'd like as few people as possible to know who I was before I encountered an Asgard Xerox malfunction. Easier for everyone else all around. No confusion about ranks or assignments. Just let people take me at face value. If that suffices, I'm willing to go get lo-jacked and otherwise poked and prodded for the good of the nation, planet, and galaxy."

"Very well. I had a feeling that was what you were going to say, but I've found it better to just ask what people want rather than assuming, at least in these kinds of situations." Ian said, "That being said, if the cat gets out of the bag, well, that'll be something you're going to have to deal with."

"Alright, then. You'll be assigned to SG-9 tomorrow around lunch, go ahead and report to Medical and get your shots and such. And if you could let them know that I'll be there as soon as I get more than five minutes to myself, I would greatly appreciate it." Ian said, standing up, "Welcome aboard, Marine. If current events are to be believed, it's going to be a hell of a ride for all of us."

Jon inclined his head respectfully. "Thank you, sir."

He accepted the dismissal for what it was, then turned and headed for medical. Best to get this over with.

He'd never thought he'd miss Janet, but then so much had changed since he'd walked these halls last.

As quick as he could, Ian made his way straight back to his office once all was said and done in Medical.

"Alright, Colonel, what do you have for me?"

Sarah stood straighter as Ian walked in,  he had made good time.  "There should be a video in your email.  The video is quite interesting.   I'd like your view point on it."

"An interesting prospect. If it wasn't for the fact that, I think, the galaxy has decided to go collectively insane on us, I'd say we'd have a heck of an adventure there on our hands. Still, if I could keep a copy for access, I'll send it to General Landry and see if we can get the resources to properly tackle these ruins. Something this big is going to need to be kicked over to the IOA to see what they'd like." Ian said. He wasn't a huge fan of the IOA, but they were the people who controlled his funding, and it was a similar story with SOCOM and Congress...

Before Sarah could respond Cheryl buzzed through on the intercom about Woosely needing to speak with Ian,  "seems like it is going to be a busy day, sir," she smiled, letting him decide how he wanted to answer.   "I would say it is important if Woosely is calling. "
