Life is a dream — of pain and woe.
A dream from which — we pray to wake.

GM Post - Attn: All Players

The events of the previous day were quite hectic, the majority of the events caused by the return of an old nemesis - Ba'al.

As the day drew to a close, a rescue mission for the missing SG-1 was forced back by a much larger force of heavily armed Jaffa, answering to Ba'al, who were far stronger than anticipated. Though the worst was being considered, the IOA urged caution, requesting several hours be made for proper recon and analysis. SG Teams 7, 12, and 18 were refitted and now ready to enter into the thick of a hostile force, on a mission to locate the missing "flagship" team.

Unknown to everyone, however, SG-1 was propelled into an alternate timeline, one where the System Lords landed on Earth in 1999, but had been forced into a stalemate. Entire nations were no more and everything was completely on its head. However, it was discovered that this timeline had no knowledge of the Ancient Outpost under the frozen wasteland of Antarctica. Racing against time, SG-1 was first taken to where the ZPM had been originally found in the Prime timeline by the USS Ranger, only to find the world was no more. Ba'al ambushed them, hoping to find out what drew the Tau'ri to such a place, but despite the loss of most of the skeleton crew, SG-1 and the USS Ranger escaped. They were told of a second ZPM, this one in Jordan, having been recovered from Egypt - it was the one that had ended up hidden by yet another alternate SG-1 during the time Ra ruled Earth.

But to get there, SG-1 had been forced to battle the invading armies of Apophis, who was killed aboard his flagship after it was rammed by the badly damaged USS Ranger and its remaining nuclear payload set off within its depths. Recovering the ZPM, SG-1 raced against time once more against Anubis, and a much larger battle was to be waged over control of Antarctica, with the USAF's battlecruiser fleet clashing with Anubis' fleet. Ba'al was once again waiting, one step ahead of his enemies, but chose to surrender to SG-1 because he knew he could not take the weapon, and his long term plans depended on him cooperating. With the ZPM in place, as in our timeline, the Ancient Drone weapon smashed Anubis' fleet. And with that, the final blow was delivered to the System Lords, their empires on Earth were all crushed and sent fleeing after over 10 years of occupation, where their off-world empires were falling to a new dynasty of System Lords. With the help of the Asgard and the alternate timeline SG-1, our SG-1 is set to return to their own timeline, bearing a USB drive from General Samantha Carter, and the gratitude of a new world.

On P6G-12M, while the System Lords had found a new prize worth investigating, they found SG-22, led by a bumbling excuse of a man, coming to the site in hopes of keeping the Tau'ri's claim on the location. With such a prize, neither side was about to relent, though SG-22 was not able to hold the claim and was forced to return to the Stargate, and request reinforcements. Colonel Reynolds, given his experience, was given the task of leading his team to aid SG-22, alongside the Chinese SG Team, SG-25, in support. Though Stargate Command knew of the secrets of the Star Map, the question was if a war with more Goa'uld was an option, or if there was another way...

In Kyoto, Japan, a tense standoff was underway, and an all or nothing gamble was about to be played by Stargate Special Operations Command. As the deadline for the terrorists' demands was fast approaching, the teams prepared to execute a plan that would either be a brilliant and cunning strategy or one that would bring about the downfall of so many, as well as the deaths of many more.

Back at Stargate Command, the leaders of the various elements of Stargate Command and Homeworld Command arrived to meet and discuss the situation. The return of Ba'al, who now was playing the part of an elected leader of a sovereign nation on Earth, was not the only troubling matter on the agenda. A rogue spy who had joined with a defecting Goa'uld, the requirement of a strategy to go after Ba'al, the recent discoveries made by SG Teams 1, 7, and 12, and so much more had to be discussed, but each leader brought their own agenda and ideas. And not all of them were interested in the same thing...

GM Post

It is now October 4th 2011 0730 hours

SGC files for eyes only:
TK 13678a

Admiral’s Log: Tuesday October 4th 2011

SG teams 4, 9, 22 and 25 had finished their respective missions to off world gate addresses at the start of the week of September 27th 2011, returning to the SGC for the usual de-briefings. P9U-10R in the case of SG4 and P6G-12M for the remaining three teams.

All teams were credited with success in their respective missions, with SG4 having located and neutralized a threat from the Trust who we now believe is completely controlled by Ba’al. The group of Trust operatives were both scientists drawn from non aligned nations to the Stargate treaty and some of his own from the now conquered Lucian Alliance. The rest were security. Data bases were recovered from their computers while the facility itself housed in a Cathedral on the planet was thoroughly dismantled and the chemicals used in their research destroyed as were the samples of the ‘programmable’ virus the Trust was planning to use throughout the Galaxy, with possibly Earth as the first target.

Upon P6G-12M, the teams followed up on the earlier work done by SG’s 1, 7 and 12. There were quite remarkable finds , not to mention fending off a possible confrontation from three separate factions of the Goa’uld.  Among the items found were two complete working Puddle Jumpers, several wrecks worthy of spares, a large (very large) cache of Ancient drone weapons and various other objects of Ancient and other alien origin to be studied by the SGC science teams.  All three teams, 9, 22 and 25 will be receiving Commendations for their work.

Prior to the completion of these two missions, good news started the latter events off on a happy note for all. While searching for the still missing SG1; teams 7, 12 and 18 were sent back to P98-T8R, SG1’s last known location taken from the Star map on 12M. Immediately all three teams were engaged by a superior numbered Goa’uld force thought to be under the command of one of Ba’al senior Lieutenants. The fire fight raged on for several hours and eventually through sheer luck and cunning the SG teams were the victors. As the teams were withdrawing to the Stargate, Captain James Fox met with an unfortunate accident on the field of battle while dodging enemy fire. His foot found what was determined to be the local version on that planet of a Gopher’s hole, he twisted his leg so badly and with such force his left femur was shattered badly. That of course wasn’t the good news anyone might have wanted to know, what did take place around the same time was the miraculous timing of SG-1’s return, gating in from an alternate Universe with the help of an alternate Thor. With the arrival of SG-1, the battle was over with all four teams returning home, SG-1 bringing a few ‘specialty’ items of their own.

There were due to Captain Fox’s injury some team rearrangements as follows:

Sergeant Specialist D.J Castle to SG4

Major Wilhelm Lebel on extended compassionate leave
Sergeant  Specialist K. Wojcik SGC,  as Admiral McRaven’s personal guard (with K9 Sergeant ‘Ruffles’)
2nd Lieutenant K. Harwood to SG-1
Major J. Gallagher CO of SG-22
Captain Louis Fierra to SGC logistics
Taleeya FJN to SG-22
Corporal C. Marasigan to Alpha Site
