Bonewhite's tension had grown with every step that took them further from their shuttle into the city. No turning back. I wonder if I made the right decision in coming here. Would it not have been better to search for solutions among our own kind. He tried to ward off the doubts, he could not afford them. Especially not now, as they were meeting the commander of Atlantis.

As he saw Richard Woolsey, he recognised the man immediately. He had not changed from the last time they had met. For an instant, the mental image of Guide appeared; Guide who had his arm around Woolsey, on board of the Daedalus. How scared Woolsey had been at that time, and Bonewhite would not have believed that this little, babbling man could hold command of the city of the Ancients. Yet the Wraith had come to respect Woolsey, and he would not make the mistake to underestimate him.

"Mister Woolsey, we appreciate that you take the time to talk with us," he addressed the man.

Letting Mike lead, it was a change for Jordan. Too often she'd been thrust to the fore when any number of able bodied leaders could have done the job just as well. This so far was nothing more than diplomatic, and for a while to come both she and Mike were going to be spectators, or as Woolsey might see it, his personal guard. She didn't mind and the fact she had a deep respect for the Wraith as she came to know them more, wasn't going to change a thing. "Go on in, we're right behind you." She told Kenny, although wondering at the same time, given their own respect for females if he wouldn't turn to her and say 'after you ma'am'. She chuckled at the thought.

Another quick glance at his laptop, Richard felt satisfied the message was all he could say. His hand gently closed the lid as if it were something very precious; which perhaps in this case it was. The email was to his beloved niece who was celebrating her sixteenth birthday in a few days time. He wished he could have been with her, as he was just last year; alas he could not, so he did his best to explain why and wish her all the best for the day. "Come in, come in. Please take a seat all of you and we'll get down to business." He did his best to appear as normal as possible; but these were Wraith and the trickle of perspiration on his forehead was a give away.

Mike waited for the Wraith to step in at the word: Enter. He would follow in shortly, taking the left-hand side partition of the wall which he felt most comfortable with having his back to. Though it would seem that Woolsey had a different idea, as Mike waited a moment longer as he then moved forward, grabbing the back of a seat and pulling it out for him.

Whilst Mike had his brief dealings with the aliens, it seemed that people were affected differently. The Suit seemed to be no different when it came to diplomatically trying to lend assistance; that or he seemed to sweat easily. These two needed the time to talk and discuss what each wanted from this interaction, so the Royal Marine sat back, his gaze breaking only to briefly glance over at O'Niel before it was back onto Woolsey and the Wraiths a moment later.

Bonewhite nodded to Woolsey and entered the room. In the short moment it took for him to reach the chair, he let his gaze wander through the room, taking in the small details that told much about its owner. Like the image of a small furry animal that stood on a shelf. It amused Bonewhite somewhat, but he did not have the time to dwell on that.

He took seat, carefully straightening the long tails of his coat so that they would not crease in the process. Wraith seldom sat for official conversation or negotiation; they preferred to remain upright and maintain a strong impression – and the possibility to be able to act fast in case negotiations turned... aggressive. Only Queens had the privilege to sit. He wondered what Sin thought of these strange customs.

He gave Woolsey his full attention, waiting for the commander of Atlantis to begin the conversation.

The last time he had listened to humans, Sin had sat at the table with the others.  He didn't know human procedure, and it that incident had been less formal.  Plus Guide had been there and Sin had imitated him, not wanting to insult a superior who had spent so much time among humans.

Frankly, the only thing he could have done wrong then was feed on someone.  Or bite them.

This situation was much more formal.

Sin turned to look at the other human in the room.  Apparently, subordinates sat with their superiors.

Being honest with himself, Sin didn't want to sit.  He didn't think either of these humans would have anything useful to say, just like the rest of them didn't.

Sitting down, Sin wished he was back on the hive, back on duty.

How did humans get anything down spending so much time being so pointless?

Right at that very moment the dark haired woman was experiencing a host of emotions. Here she was, a long way away from Florida, an almost as long way even from the Alpha site and she was about to engage in a meaningful conversation with the Wraith.

Not of course she hadn't spoken to them before; during the heat of battle on the Vanir world she had said a lot to them, shouted at them even and when it was all said and done; they had proven their worth as warriors, of which she had no doubt.

Returning Mike's glance she nodded to him, then took the last remaining chair next to the younger Wraith Sin. One thing she had to do, was to show the two Wraith where she stood in the pecking order of things, as Military Commander, she was Richard's equal and by demonstration of that she addressed him by name. "Thank you Richard. I think we can all agree before we start, this virus our friends here have reported could possibly affect the entire galaxy, given there are races, even human who carry a degree of Wraith DNA in their bloodlines."

Richard settled into his own chair, he checked to see that his recorder was on,  to his computer via the wireless connection, then looked up at the four opposite him. "I appreciate you coming to us." He was reluctant to use Kenny's familiar human name, frankly he wasn't sure how to address them. "Captain O'Neil has made a good point there, but I am sure you have more to tell us. Is it true that 'Guide' and your daughter have gone missing?" That part he was easy with, it was now common knowledge the one they called Rhiase was in essence Kenny's foster child.
