Michelle looked around the chapel.  She had to admit.  It felt odd to be at the Alpha Site.  She had been at Zulu so long.  And to only see a few from the Station nearly tore her heart to pieces.  She sighed softly as she still gripped Mrs. Smith.  Someone would have to take care of the cat now that they wouldn't be going back to Zulu.  And right now she didn't want to turn loose of the cat.  "Well, now starts a new journey," she said softly, looking over at Alex.  "Only time will tell what happens next."

Alex rubbed the cat's head which had the effect of creating a very loud feline purr. "We'll need to find a new home for her Michelle and we know she hates Earth." He chuckled at that, several times before they had tried to take her back only to end in failure. "I'd be more than happy if General Chalmers might find a home here for her, although I'm not overly sure of the quarantine procedures here regarding non native pets."

McKay stood as he had, listened, and seemed otherwise indifferent to the whole thing. No questions directed at him, no science questions, and thus no reason for him to get involved. That was just how it went, for the most part, and he was used to it by now. So when everyone began to depart, he went with them to the Conference Room. Time to get this over with.

John was curious as to where everyone was going and so decided to perform some intelligence it was his job to make sure everyone was not compromised after all and making sure the alpha sites more higher ranked personnel were safe seemed an important thing to do.
John followed the strangers to the conference area.

Aria quietly looked around the chapel and observed the people talking. Since nobody attempted to introduce themselves or tried to pull her into a conversation, she just simply shrugged and decided not to say anything. Of course she was talkative but not at the moment. After some several introductions were passed around and resolved, the Commander lead them toward the conference room. Aria was looking forward in an one on one with the commander at some point, but for now she will only speak when spoken to at least unless she had something in her mind that she wanted to say.

She followed the group from the Chapel.

Elena had to hold back the laughter herself, and leaned very close to Cate's ear, whispering in it barely audible.

"Call me a dear colonel again, and I'll have you scrubbing the toilets for a few days, Cate... In the gents..."

The Russian did grin devlish though, and as the grin faded, she listened for the formal introductions and chit chat and wondered about the future shore leave. 2 standard days all to herself. Not that it ever goes as it should go, the last their stop at the Alpha Site for example, but blowing off some steam is always a good thing. Lena also did notice the other folks giving her and Catherine glances of interest, curiousity and amusement and glared back with evil eye at few of them. This time it'll be solved without succumbing to sleeping pills and setting bars on fire.

Ovcahrenko slightly nudged Cate as they went to the briefing room, for right now she wanted the other woman to be sticking to her. Less trouble that way.

Sheppard watches in silence, wanting nothing more than to get on with things. He'd caught enough to know what was going on around him. Seeing the Private peaked his curiosity, and not really in a good way. What on earth (or whatever world they're on) was a Private doing as a single security detail? There was no way he had enough experience. But rather than saying anything, he repeats the mantra he'd been saying since he left Atlantis - There's no place like home. He'd even once considered clicking his heels together just in case it would work.

To Fran this was God's place far from home, she knew he watched over all of them from his throne in heaven, knowing that at least in this small quarter of the base anyone who came here found comfort and peace. It was quite much the same as her own chapel back at the SGC, perhaps a smidgen smaller, yet still glorious in its decor and stained glass windows that had as back drops 'fake' light streaming in behind them as if they were on the surface.

"Well Alex, here were are. You can use the guests quiet room to change, there is an attached bathroom and if you need to shower and shave go right ahead as you'll find everything you need in there." Hopefully.

<<From CO's office>>

"Beautiful, just beautiful." Alex murmured under his breath as his eyes adjusted to the soft light of the chapel. "You'd never know we were deep underground would you Fran, they've done a brilliant job in creating this little haven a world away from home." He hefted his carry bag up trying to recall if he had everything and knowing his own meticulous way of doing things, he was quite certain he had. "Shaving was never a big moment in life for me you know, but then this is going to be a day in my life forever isn't it?"

He trailed off happily with a tune forming in his mind. "I won't be long." Alex disappeared in the direction Fran told him to go, feeling like a young man again.

Michelle blew out a breath as she stood at the doors to the chapel.  Was this really happening? She was nervous and excited at the same time,  the hair dresses had done a wonderful job and somehow the two rascals had managed to find her a dress.  She would have to thank Bobbie and Kim later.   Right now she felt like she couldn't breathe.  She loved Alex with her whole heart,  but it was hard to believe they were finally here.

*1 hour later*

"Nervous kiddo?" TJ said to his CO, he could get away with it. Not only because of who he was on the base as the most senior NCO, he could do so because, well he was the 'old guy' to everyone and to him anyone under 50 years old was a kid in his eyes. He stood there with Michelle his arm reassuringly looped in hers on her right side. "This is some gig isn't it. I'd say roughly the entire base is here, or at least those that could fit." All they needed now was that unspoken signal from Fran when she clicked on her CD player and the bridal march began.

At the front of the Altar in the Center of what is traditionally known as the Crossing Fran was waiting about two feet away from Alex and his best man; the bride's maids Kim and Bobbie stood at a reasonable distance (space for the bride) to their left. She nodded to Alex as one of the base Chaplain's assistants started the music playing, that was Michelle and TJ's cue. She whispered to Alex softly. "You can turn around now."

Since the girls were not deaf, they didn't need to be told when they heard the music begin. Bobbie was so focused on her dress and still wondering if her hair was as it should be, she was just slightly startled when that beautiful song chosen earlier by Michelle. It wasn't your traditional wedding march, but it did say everything about the two of them. Stevie Wonder's Signed, sealed and delivered, I'm yours. It had a nifty beat to it as well. Bobbie turned around and sighed. Tears began to well up immediately as she looked at the stunning visage of Michelle at the end of the Nave. "She is so beautiful." Bobbie said hoarsely at barely above a hush.

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Heads turned, tears fell as the gathered congregation all turned to see the Bride. No one spoke other than to comment much as Bobbie did. Even the girl from the dress shop was there. Emily for a moment couldn't take her eyes off Noah up there beside Alex, that soon changed when the music began.

To say things had been rushed was the epitome of an understatement. From that point in time Alex was led by Francis down to her chapel, the pace became frantic as the last minute details from his position were hurriedly put into place. He had to call Noah to give him the matching rings; both men and indeed TJ needed a carnation or whatever passed for one in this world, for their lapels and the very last thing Alex needed was something amiss with his number one dress uniform. When he removed it from its carefully packed suit cover, he found a button missing, a bloody gold button with the RAF crest on it. Fran naturally came to the rescue telling him there was one, just one RAF officer on the base from the Electronic Warfare section, with that young woman only too happy to oblige him. She now sat in among the guests even though neither he nor Michelle knew her.

Things didn't click immediately when the Chaplain told him to turn around because he was so focused in his mind for everything to go smoothly, which thus far it had with practically everything. It was when the music started he became aware of what she said, Alex turned and was stunned; he wanted to shout for joy, laugh and sing out aloud how happy he was at that moment. Tears filled his eyes, his mouth moved but nothing was uttered from his lips. He glanced sideways at Noah, hoping and praying to God the young man had those two golden rings in his pocket.

Michelle turned as TJ appeared beside her.  "Never thought I would be," she admitted with a shaky smile.  She loved Alex to pieces but was almost sick to her stomach with nerves.  "Oh you're not helping, " she groaned, slipping her arm through his.

As they started toward the door and the song started, tears slid down her cheeks.  This was really happening.

Kim was nearly jumping up and down with joy as she watches Michelle walk down the aisle before glancing at Alex.  The two were made for each other and Kim couldn't be happier.  "She looks so pretty, " she whispered to Bobbie.

Noah hadn't been in the chapel in awhile other than once or twice before. He wasn't very religious. Finding himself standing near Alex and dressed in blues, he kept his attention focused on the ceremony. Unsure of how he got himself into it, Noah remained cheerful and impressed with the wedding. From the sidelines, he noted Emily seated in one of the seats. He attempted a smile when he caught her eye.

Refocusing his attention on Alex, Noah checked his pocket to make sure the rings were secured. It was. Lightly, he nudged him and nodded to reassure him in a whispered conversation, "It'll be okay sir. Weddings always start out all nerves until that last minute, like my mum used to tell me. Besides, with these rings in my pocket, you have about twenty minutes of sweating until it's all over before I hand them over to you."

Just some words he remembered from what his mother said before she married his father.

"Is that any way to talk to your Dad?" He chuckled deeply as in lockstep with Michelle they started the bridal walk down the naive and while it wasn't near as long as some churches back home, for a woman taking that step it was long enough. TJ was feeling nothing but pride and to be filling in for her own father, he couldn't think of a more fitting tribute to the woman who had been in charge of the Alpha site for such as short time, but in that time had made so many friends, overseeing the running of the base as if she were born to it.

He smiled again and again as he passed the pews with the guests looking up, not at him, but at the beautiful woman on his arm. Right now he was regretting the two women in his past life he let get away; but there was one right here on the Alpha Site he wasn't going to let slip through his fingers. In a few minutes they were at the Crossing, the music stopped when they were level with Alex and the Bride's maids. "Time to hand you over to the next man in your life girl." He reluctantly let go of her arm, as any father or stand in father would so that Alex could stand at her side.

Fran stepped forward, nodding her her to Alex. "Would you stand on her right side please Alexander." She said using his full name. Everything was set.
